Kasim, (apologies for the first naming) once you are in India, please try out IHP v/s Precihole yourself. If in Mumbai, you are welcome to use my Precihole Orion 0.22 (untuned). I am sure someone will be glad to let you try their tuned IHPs, and you just might be able to find the rare bird who likes his / her IHP untuned.

Nothing like testing them for yourself, removes the bias from the equation.

Rightly said essdee.. let the person test both...I spoke to oriental arms here in delhi last week and was told that that he has spoken to the person from prechihole and that they have applied for VAT registration. How come you have a prechihole as i believe co must have a registration under VAT before it can commercially sell its products?

Kasim if you have a rifle club membership you can very well bring a phoren airrifle when to come back saving on courier which some time can be same as the cost.

I have a IHP in .22 which i bought for Rs.3900/- some three yrs ago and for the price point its value for money.

Cheers

Dear Friends,
I am the one who used both IHP 35 and Precihole Orion. I also have a vast collection of foreign air rifles as TX 200, Benjamin Discovery, Diana 460 magnum, Diana 34, HW 80 etc. Recently I have ordered for Steyr LG 110. ( If anyone is interested to buy the same in India, please send a mail to [email protected] or contact 9910554080.)
Now let us come to the point. I don't want to compare Indian air guns with imported ones as the former are nowhere in quality and technology. Now when you compare an IHP 35 with a Precihole Orion .... both the guns have barrels made by Precihole Machine Tools, Thane.( I am not sent % sure but as per my knowledge and observation.) The difference is in internal mechanism, trigger system and stock. The internal mechanism and trigger system in Precihole is advanced and the synthetic (Not plastic) stock is far better than the wooden stock used in IHP. (No doubt the wooden stock shines better but the wood has no quality and usually gets cracked at the grip.) Both the guns have quality barrels as good as a foreign one.
So finally I would like to vote for Precihole but at the same time I want to warn you all that as it is a new product there may be some technical problems at the beginning which would be settled down in due course of time and that is what is called experience ...... IHP gained a lot but learnt nothing !
Regards,
Your well-wisher !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Friends,

I am new to IFG. I stay at Thane where "Preciholesports" company is located.
There I have tried Orion and Pegasus. They were smooth. As per info gained from IFG, I asked the person in the company that "I have heard abt the problems of loosing the Triggers,.. in Precihole ARs "
They said "Yes" and also said that they have rectified these issues by modifying their design of Screw's and few other design.

Also I got the info that they have started the Air Rifles manufacturing from somewhere in Sep 2012.
It was a good experience to know the India Company designing such a Good looking ARs with good performance.
As I am new to Air Rifle shooting... but still when i tried Precihole rifle at around 10 m... it shot well --- I was happy
_______
Coming to IHP 35, When i went to buy the Air Rifle in Mumbai, the dealer said that Precihole had issues and all its customers were coming back... so he suggested IHP

1 more Great difference is
Precihole offers 6 months Guarantee/warranty period
IHP offers 1 Year Guarantee/warranty period (apart from the wooden part)

I finally bought IHP M35. The dealer gave me a Bill and the warranty card and told me to stick a 5 Rs revenue stamp and post it to IHP company. ---- I felt good as I know know that I was buying a Genuine product(as IHP company is located in Gujarat)
(But the AR was in a Box and no Bag was provided -- this was bad as I have to shop again now for a Bag)

I am not against any Brand or in favor of any Brand.... I thot of sharing my experience with all which might help someone someday.

Thanking you All IFG members who have posted.. It helped me a lot to buy my 1st Air Rifle.

Regards,
Gun Man
(Play safe with Air Rifles)
