Re: Benefits to join Rifle Club
Taking a rifle is very easy if you are a member of rifle club.Arms act says you can get a license for a .22 lr rifle for Target practice if you are a member of rifle club unless you are disqualified by sec 14 of the same.
If you are a club member you can practice more as you will get ammo cheaply in match grade weapons and by your hard work you can be a renowned shot.If you are ..... you can get a new imported weapon in your class.
Regards
Renjith.

Re: Benefits to join Rifle Club
Karmveer,
It depends, whether the Rifle Club is a club on paper or physically exists with shooting range, guns, et all.
In D&NH, i am not aware of any range there.

I have to ask, what about big bore shooting events? Can you get 30.06 ammo cheaper?
I would rather hit my target gently than miss hard.

Can it help in procuring a 0.22LR pistol for competitive shooting?
Lets say if the barrel length of the pistol is more than 5 inches?

Re: Benefits to join Rifle Club
Hello Karmveer,
Sorry for late reply, i also wanted to be member of rifle club for vice-versa benefits but while exploring i came to know that in The Bilimora Rifle Club there are some issues going on, say like no general meeting or annual meeting for members from last 15 years or so and its just going on paper, plus the range is also on the occvard site where flood visits in rainy seasons + no construction or no cabin just ground, and about the mangement as discuss in earlier forum on trap shooting, they arnt co-operative , the fees are also toooooo-much that in nearby budget u can became a life member of NRAI India, so my advice is to go for membership for Mumbai club say like Worli or so.......... thks for now
