Arvind,
These are at KSRA, if you are a member there you can use it, but maybe not on the same spread as TenX :-)

Havent seen anyone responding on the precihole rifle issues/ fixes in 2013..!!!
Does this mean all the issues have been addressed and now the gun is glitch-free..?
Or you guys are not getting time to update your experiences with the readers out here..?
...

Regards,
Arvind S.

Hello Arvind and all others,

I am playing the waiting game too, and while I do, I have the opportunity to "watch and learn" :P

Well, with regards to your concern above, I must tell you that after noticing the issue with the 'automatic-safely' and also reading about the same Precihole airgun models' issues here in the forum threads, I wrote to Precihole Sports on via the Enquiry Form on their webiste http://www.PreciholeSports.com 's 'Contact Us' tab; I had written to them enquiring about
1. Whether manufacturing defect with the 'safety' has been addressed and fixed?
2. warranty?
3. whether scopes can be fitted to stock?
4. which of their models are permitted at the Shooting Ranges and for Air Gun competitions?
5. Shooting Range (distance) of their respective models?

To my pleasant surprise, I received a prompt reply from them, which read as below:

"With regards to your query kindly note the defect has been sorted.

Warranty is for 6 months and all our products are scope able.

You can also use our model Club(.177) for competitions.

Kindly note the range of Orion and Pegasus is about 35 meters and of Club is 10 meters.
"

Since it seems like Precihole Sports are very prompt in their response to customer queries, I would suggest you or anyone seeking more technical clarifications must write to them directly from their website, and of course, share any useful information with us at the forum.

By the way, I think I'll be weighing out the benefits and disadvantages between my 4 finalists: [the club vs National M25] Vs.the Pegasus; all your inputs welcome.

My Orion trigger has gotten stuck for the second time. Same old safety-trigger problem. Spring is also cocked and not possible to fire, so it will need replacement again. Also, the trigger kept getting loose and needed tightening every 30-40 shots approx. PH has once again offered to fix it but it will take more than a week, which is disappointing to have to deal with again and again. Hopefully it will be a permanent fix this time around. I still rate the rifle above other Indian makes, but this glitch really kills the fun.

Well, I sure hope that they are taking all such complaints constructively and using this feedback productively; they seem enthusiastic in their response to complaints and queries, and guess they must be making improvisations in their design.

By the way Boomshiva, have you thought of asking them for a complete replacement, considering that the problem is a recurring one?

I too have been contemplating on a precihole .177 buy. I did call up the company directly and had a pleasant conversation with a lady who received my call. While they don't ship the gun directly to an individual buyer, they do have reputed distributors spread out in the country from whom one could buy it. Since I belong to Bengal..Aimco is the closest.
While I do have an IHP 25 .22 I was also looking at their newly launched Air Compressed Air Gun (.177) as an option. I called up the company today on information about this gun. The gentleman whom I spoke to was not as forthcoming as the precihole folks and I could learn very little about this gun. However he did inform me that a sum of 10K had to be deposited first against a total bill of 28K for the gun. Their IHP website does harp on this "international standard gun" at "one fouth the price". If in fact their claims & this product is close to the standards of the Steyrs & the Dianas ...then kudos to IHP...Well as they say..the proof of the pudding can only be in the eating.
Does anybody have any first hand info on these IHP Aircompressed guns?

Did you send it back to the Precihole team for the fix?
Or went to your trusted gunsmith for the fix?
How is your gun performing now...
I am changed rear sight pin (locked pin), and added a small alumin plate to under rear sight for proper aiming to morethan 20meter. changed all align key screw to normal screw.
Changed spring, washer, breach seal. refitted Trigger system.(now after 500 shots the trigger colour change to brazz colour)
Now working normal condition.
Hi Namcmd,
Can you tell me from where you source the spring for Orion & how is the performance smoothness, cocking effort, power & accuracy?

getting the same issue in my pegasus also. it seems the trigger set crew works loose. try cocking the gun with the safety on.
will be sending my gun for a work up soon.

So every brand new gun goes to the factory for repairs after every 40th shot. Lol

Apply removeable threadlock on the threads after degreasing the same. Better still, read the instructions on the bottle/tube of removeable threadlock.

I use surgical spirit or isopropyl alcohol to degrease and Loctite 243 Removeable Threadlock.

The way the trigger blade is fixed is badly designed but Doc had promised to attend to this asap.

There is nothing wrong with the firing cycle. Infact, I find it slightly better than a new Weihrauch HW77K. However, the power could be suspect but I cannot confirm this without a chrono.

Mack, thanks! I normally use a 1.5 mm allen key to tighten the screw. Even though I am like 15 minutes drive time from Doc's factory, it takes me hardly 2-3 minutes to tighten the allen bolt, so no point in undertaking the drive. Will use the Loctite now.
Cheers!
