pumping air
i by mistake kept my benjamin marauder air pressure in zero.then after a month now when i tried pumping it i found the air getting leaked in the barrel,i enquired in pyramid air they asked me to cock it (as the valve would have opened) and then pump air,yet the result was the same.please do give me some idea on this and do let me know the seriousness of the problem

Re: pumping air
Prabhu:
In PCPs the valves need around 50-80 psi of pressure to hold air. To get it up to this range keep filling air even when you hear it hissing out of the barrel. After a 10-15 seconds the hissing should stop and the cylinder should start pressurizing. Keeping the bolt cocked when filling is a good idea. Do fill very slowly.
Try this before attempting any dismantling.
I'm assuming you're using a scuba tank.
