30-06 (Pics)

Post by herb » Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:17 am

Sharing some pics of an old 30-06. It is a Sako 75. A Solid robust rifle in a classic caliber, a little on the heavier side. Sako has replaced it with the newer Model 85 but many people still prefer the older Model 75.

Lovely rifle, Herb. The Sakos I handled had some of the slickest and smoothest actions I know.Almost like the Enfield.

@Navi, many models in the 85 series have iron sights.

Best-

Vikkers

http://www.berettausa.com/shop-by-depar ... guns/sako/

I agree but only Bavarian has full complement of calibers Kodiak bear etc are only in two or three limited calibers ...
I go see them every month and these guys let me handle them feel sorry for me in a way...no permission from home minister and I have no choice but this place dont like T3 feel too much...they even fix my shotty for free these days.Wonderful guns but they are so expensive one day a guy walked in purchased $10K plus 416 caliber safari rifle.. doesnt Asif have a Jefferies double in same caliber?

Cheers

About 3.4 kg/7.5 lbs. I have a Winchester pre-64 Model 70 30-06 and I think this feels about the same.
