Sanjay,

U locate the rifles.............

I cud help u with lots of DB Flanged ammo....I collect the empty cardboard packets of ammunition....just a hobby.... so the ammo must still be with the dealers . So finding 375, 470,244 ,etc flanged ctgs shud not be that much of trouble.

Happy hunting.

Buddy,

Two years a small investment.... the DB Rifles .....are a class apart... dont confuse it with normal firearms....here the investments are not that high and holding time can at times extend to a few years...the seller might not be in a hurry 2 sell. I have seen the same rifles at times even a few years after I last saw them.

H&H 240 is excellent gun , i was speaking to my grandfather about it and his face literally glew up on hearing this guns name, he said that it as par excellence gun, excellent gun bore, which was highly recomended in good old hunting days. Very well balanced weapon and even in today time he said that he would happily pay something like 2-3 lac for that.
Import thing pointed out by apex shooter bro is correct, even my grandfather was approched by H&H representative in early 90 to buy his H&H Paradox, he couldnt offer much as he gave the same reason, that since that weapon was classified antique so he would require to spend decent money on the papers work to take gun bak to england. So i guss, bro asher you can use this to your use and not many people would be ready to buy that weapon, very few collector or enthusiast like you would buy. Personally speaking, given the constraint to use that weapon, i would rahter use that money to hit out african safari and come bak with some good hunting experience and trophies :).
But no doubt that gun is worth every penny, Do post pic once u have that beauty in your hands.

Ali

That is the same reaction that I received from many old timers here in Hyd.I am going in for the 240 H&H Godwilling provided he comes down to my price and according to one more dealer, he will since the gun is lying with him since the past 2 years. Will put up the pictures once i receive it.

cheers

Ashar, hope you get your DR and take it to Africa for a Safari.Good luck there.

I would thank anyone if they could point me to a .375 double rifle in good condition at the price indicated above.Need not be an English one, better if it is.

Best-
Vikram
