It was something like you were reading my mind... Took it apart & De-greased it today. Now its time for "at home" bluing.
Much appreciate all your genuine concerns only true gun lovers would have.

any history how you got it heirloom - bought etc? Use fresh ammo if possible

agreed with grewal ji.

You may like to use Robla de greaser and Cleaver re bluing (cold blue), but be cautious, I think if you want to do it, do it at a gun smith's workshop with professional help.
In this winter season, a good hair dryer will come handy in re blueing process.


If you can get hot bluing, it will be better.



Please get new ammo.

Few more accessories and real cleaning from inside.

Dying to wait to finished product.

The lack of fire, is due to only 5 and poor conditioned ammo. Get her what she is meant for, lots of ammo.

Then see, have charged up she gets!

NGrewal & Perfectionist1- Gentlemen, appreciate your concern, wilco on advise.
Bowman- Bro 32 Geco is hard to come by, don't have a heart to fire IOF from it. In fact haven't seen much imported 32 ammo lately in this part of the country.

Congratulations Armour.

The Walther PPK is and always be one of the most coveted handguns to possess.
I agree with others on rebluing. You could also try Birchwood Casey solution if you intend to do it yourself.

If I am not mistaken it seems you loaded these old rounds in the magazine and recycled the slide too many times to make the action easy. The magazine leaf and the extractor have left their marks on the rim and brass. Its time to get new ammo and post some good pics of this beauty.

Nice gun friend ,one of the most reliable pistole available in india..apart from bluing you should try to remove the pitting if feasable.but care should be taken not to disturb the letterings.
