Airgun Sujin Classic 45

Post by somnath » Wed Dec 12, 2012 6:10 pm

Hi

This is my first post in the forum. I'm an air rifle enthusiast and I own a Sujin Classic 45 BB air rifle (0.22 cal) manufactured by Cochin armoury. I've browsed through quite a few topics, did a search but did not get a mention of this model in the forum. So far "power" is concerned the model fails the deal wood test. It is unable to penetrate an 1" wood even at point blank range. But it is very effectice in penetrating coke cans etc even from a distance. I use the gun mostly to scare away monkeys by firing into the air. The dealer (Tej armoury) had mentioned a range of 30 metres when I was purchasing the rifle. I would like to know the technical specifications of the gun :

1. Muzzle Speed
2. Effectice Range
3. How the performance compares when compared with other Indian model
4. Any other information that any member may have on the said model

Hi Somnath,

I have never heard about the above mentioned air rifle. Would love to see couple of pics of your air rifle and also a review mentioning its accuracy, power etc. Since you are already owning the gun why don't you do a bench rest test at say 10m, 25m etc using 10m air rifle targets and also thick books(eg yellow pages etc) to gauze its power. I am sure it would be lots of fun. Do include loads of pics in your review.
Regarding your query, well I guess senior members from down south may shed some light.

I did a test of the penetrative power of the gun. It is able to neatly penetrate hard board (3 to 4 mm approx) from 5 mts & 10 mts. The length of the gun is 44 inch (total) & the barrel length is 18 inch. Giving these stats since I thought the same might be useful (God is with the army that has the bigger guns ... Napoleaon). The weight of the gun will be 5 kg (approx)

I don't know about dropping etc. Maybe will upload the stats once I do the test myself. Also, will look at increasing the distance to see its power / penetration.

So far so good. Have been oiling the same regularly (with Singer machine oil). [Engage that grey matter between your ears before posting on this forum]

Would have been great if someone had any knowledge about the gun so far other technicalities are concerned (like muzzle speed etc)

Hi

I've uploaded pics of my rifle. I'm thinking of buying a Precihole Pegasis 4.5 mm also. Any idea how this would compete against a IHP 35. Which will be a better buy?

HI
Could locate quite a few posts regarding the precihole / ihp comparison in this forum. Think is enough to make informed decisions.

Thanx

Well,
I can not comprehend what you talking or asking.
It seems like a self talk.
But ,I am happy , since you are also happy with whatever you are doing, or about to do.

So......... Good luck.

Regards.
