Post some details of the condition, with photos if possible. Impossible to comment on value based on just a make/ model!

Cheers!

HI, rifle seems to be kept in very bad condition and has been subjected to lot of rough handling. winchester rifles are very hardy and manufactured to last i own one .22 pump action Winchester rifle model 61 which has been performing so well after so many years of shooting. restoring this rifle back to normal again you might have spend few thousands, also in photo only external condition can be seen, it is required to see inside of barrel and trigger mechanism before deciding about it. i would advice you to show it to some experience gun enthusiasts or gunsmith, as you do not know much about rifles/firearm.
if you start searching you may get better rifles in .22 at this price. if there is no pitting in side barrel and tubular magazine along with trigger mechanism is fine then 40K is right price for this. not penny more. thanx for sharing pics.
Hope for the Best and Prepare for the Worst........
