"Pace" is lost when the mind control becomes "Lean" and starts to "Meander". Thus when other thoughts e.g. Sania Mirza, sneak in while shooting, then one becomes Leander Paes, err, doing to her what he does to Mahesh Bhupati when they win a point...
:cpix:
(Lean + Meander) * Mind = (Disturbed Pace) -> simple mathematics aphroditism - (or is it aphorism ?)

Sorry just returned after a 4-day workshop (7:30AM-7:30PM) in Pune conducted near Fergusson College and lodged up a couple of kilometers away in the same region of "Deccan", just off "Jangli Maharaj" road. Will take some time and a few cold showers to wear the effect off. ;-)
AGN,
Do you mind letting us know, what the CONTENT of this workshop was all about????

Oops, Sir, it was pertaining an esoteric art; totally non-shooting course. Wanted to complete it earlier in the year, but could not. So this time course ke "vaaste" paid additional Rs.5K as "fine" for missing out on it. :-( Now to study it deeply for the next two years before I open my mouth to "advise" anyone. Wrt our telephonic discussion, I shall definitely revert by tonight. Flu does not stick to me for more than 48 hours... usually. :-)Thank you and tirpassion both for the option.

BTW, has anyone ever wondered why "fine" is termed as fine when it's not fine to pay the fine... English Vinglish is really a funny language!!!

The fever of JM is finally flowing off my head through the eyes and nostrils (yuck for the muck) ROTFL Back to holding and shooting from tomorrow or the day after.

Dear all,

Pace in shooting, for me, is the speed at which one executes each and every step of the SOA, shot after shot in a perfect rhythm. If I am asked to quantify the pace, I would say that it should be comfortable enough to feel and execute each and every step properly and fast enough not to allow any parasitic thoughts to sneak in the mind. The perfect pace should be ideally the one which will not allow any gap in the thought and action process of the SOA. This way the mind is engaged in subtle/fine operations which in turn will keep any other thoughts at bay.
An empty mind is a devil's workshop, goes the proverb. So let us keep it busy all the time by giving it the proper food for thought at an adequate pace for it to assimilate and act properly.

May be I have diverted from the question but I could not feel beyond when I thought of PACE.

warm regards

hey tir i wish i could shoot like you. one day, thx to the guidance of all the gurujan, surely i will. but my efforts are on.
Dear jitu, why look down when you can look up? Look beyond and for more. If you are looking at where I am currently, you are really eying mediocrity. Set your goals higher. Believe me, you are not aware of your capabilities. The real pleasure lies there for you to discover yourself.

Friends,
I will beat my own drums now :D . Please excuse me for the concert.
You can also say that I am too happy not to share the news with you all. I came 4th in the Percussion pistol event during the Inter league muzzleloader match in France on 20/10 (I talked about it 10 days back). Our regional league also won the overall 25m team (handguns) event and I am happy to be a part of it and to have contributed to the victory. The 4th place is popularly known as 'la place du con' in French; meaning 'The idiot's place :D .

best regards

Congratulations bro ! But haven't you left "something" out of your drum beats by way of modesty ? How about telling the rest of us that the point difference between Numero Uno and Numero Conno was a HUGE O-N-E and a few mms from the dead center ? :-) Only two points more and you would have been THE ONLY winner !!!

Hi tirpassion,
> Congrats Buddy - To me winning the 'Idiot's Place' is 'Victory' than none at all :D
> Truly its a 'CON' job you've achieved - Now can 'La place du Uno' be far away?

Airport Inn - Aerocity - I metro station away from the IGI airport. The hotel seems to be opposite the metro. A friend of mine from Savarkar called upon his contacts - seems Chittranjan Nagar bungalows are all "out". Better get a hotel. My hotel is a bit far away from everything. But though I am flying in on 7th, the family joins in on 8th (school vacation starts from 8th). While they go around visiting the tombs or the Akshardham, I shall be at Tughlagabad. Check out travelguru for hotel reservations - I used the same. Good luck.
