Hi Jignesh
If possible please post your entire experience once your gun problem is sorted out
Because some members are thinking that few of IFG members from Mumbai including me are just promoting Precihole guns

Re: precihole barrel problem
pratik_mahale , no body is accusing you of being an agent/ promoter or what ever for precihole. but you my friend, come charging in like a bull on seeing a red cloth any time there is a comment/ query on the rifle. you get so carried away you even question an innocent query, as to what the rifle componenets are made of!!!
please do not misunderstand me...may be there is some politics here that i am unaware of...but either make it a point to re read what you have posted or let precihole handle its own battles.
jignesh obviously has a problem with the barrel detent...something only precihole or a responsible representative need answer to....if they wish to. not your problem my friend.
hey tiwariarrun you have had your shots ....now why dont you blow the smoke from the barrel and holster your weapon !!!
jignesh you did the right thing by sending the gun back...if it is only the barrel detent , no big deal. i am sure precihole will set it right or send you a new gun.

Re: precihole barrel problem
This is not big problem and hope Precihole will address it appropriately.
Since the gun is expected to come pretuned so some eyebrows will be
raised for obvious reasons.
IHP/National hardly ever bothered about competent assembly line.So
whosoever could tune them, got an excellent rifle at the end of the day.
So if precihole claims that their each and every gun is pretuned, then they
have to live up to their expectations.
Pratik, no way I can presume that you are holding a brief for Precihole, you
are a customer, sharing your experiences.
Pl. continue with your various interesting inputs/researches on forum, they
are not so frequent as it was some two years back when members including
banned members used to participate in various interesting debates for Deshi
as well as Foren stuffs.

Re: precihole barrel problem
Dear Jignesh,
Having a glitch in a new product that's been awaited for long is certainly a bummer. Rest assured that responsible persons from PH are looking into your problem. How do I know this ?
No I am not an agent but a customer like you. The designer himself candidly mentioned that he has been informed of your issues through this noble forum (IFG) and that he intends to make up for it. I believe, in fact he asked the Compnay Represemtative to get in touch with you wrt your problem and take remedial measures, right ? Now he has personally undertaken the task of overseeing QC of every PH AR that gets boxed, something that's beyond his normal routine. That's commitment to the dream one sees!
Sometimes it's possible that pieces with minor 'defects' are kept aside to be re-looked at and then some over-enthusiastic or uninformed worker parcels them off with the rest. Such pieces if not 'caught' by the dealer end up with users like us but then the onus is on us to report (as you rightfully did) to the company and it's the company's responsibility to set things right. The sincerity of the company comes into picture in the manner it then deals with the problem.
To cite my own example - when I purchased my IHP N25, it was immediately plagued with a host of problems - I found the stock was cracked and fitted with fevicol & joinder, the bridge into which the side screws fitted in went loose from the receiver where it was supposedly welded - that too in a competition, breech seal came off, piston seal ruptured. I called up a responsible person at IHP and was promptly told that I could get the problems sorted out at H&H or any other gunsmith in Mumbai but as far as the stock was concerned "He shall replace only after it gets fully cracked and broken!!!"
In short I got my problems fixed at my own time and expense. This is my experience with a reputed and established company like IHP. Your interaction with PH is at least positive where the company seems to have taken full accountability in bypassing the dealer and dealing directly with you and paying for S&H.
BTW, I own a Daisy Powerline 846, a model which years later was recalled from market by the US Company as it was found to be "unsafe" - having 'caused inadvertently' some 3 accidents over so many years. Alas! I am still stuck with it as I am now in India and had moved to NJ then where ARs are best kept boxed.
Hey I have received my Pegasus yesterday - hope to start using it from today. Given a chance I would have one thing changed therein - trigger color (I prefer black to silver/ gold or anything shiny) and have already given the feedback to the company. Let us now see how this one shoots - keeping the fingers crossed.

Do not be discouraged or emotional. Your contribution to the forum and Indian shooting is good enough. Yes as an owner of an AR that you have paid for through your sweat money you have every right to be proud and share your experiences for benefit of others so they can make an informed decision. That holds even better for the videos you have posted. You have developed a chrono that you shared openly with us on this forum just so that those interested can go ahead and make their own and save valuable bucks and hassles trying to get a foreign make. You have taken pains to chrono various pellets through IHP and PH so that we can get some idea on how the pellets fare through those ARs. Whatever you have contributed has been positive rather than whimper and curse nor have you ever used this forum to grind your personal ax against anyone. So continue the good work, bro.
BTW, I would read mercury's comment as an advice to you not to get emotional over trivial matters.

Re: precihole barrel problem
pratik_mahale, i did not in amy way mean to hurt ,attack or put you down...if you feel i have done so , my sincerest appologies. honestly i read this forum regularly and i have found your inputs in all matters positive and admire the time you take out to check and share your various projects here. the input on pellets was very helpful to me specifically.
on hind sight my frustration was directed at precihole and unfortunately you caught the bullet. there has been so much hype and anticipation for this AR and so many questions raised by members from cost of AR to dealers to date of release and yet there has not been a word from them......sure they have a web site and they have the right to decide if they wish to post here or not, but.....why allways have some one else answer in their behalf. sharing ones views may be percieved otherwise.
pratik_mahale, once again i appologise. i am just a rambling old man, living in a fantasy world of air guns. i would be very dissapointed in myself if you were to withdraw from this forum.
my time has past and you my friend have more to give this forum than i have.
regards...

Hi Pratik, it's okay. In my openion, your fiery replies have paved way to healthy debates which have been a learning ground for many. I do not own a PH AR but nknow some one who is also in the inner circle hence my respect for the rifle. I am sure when several rifles have been tried and comments start flowing is, your answer is going to be "didn't i tell you ????"

Re: precihole barrel problem
With problems like these, including myself with my IOF .30-06, most gun owners in India have become proficient gunsmiths! Without paying any money to learn the tricks...........especially what one would have to do for such knowledge in the western world.
To such an extent that one tunes, restores and virtually rebuild airguns.
Anyway, Jignesh's problem is just a detent issue. 10 mins of work.
