And as slingshot mentioned, with lot of practice and experience, you should be able to deploy the blade in any way you want.
Amar, I've been reading about people using loctite on the pivot screws. Is this a glue going by the name. will it not clog the threads. What exactly is this and what is the correct way to do it.

Thanks
Moin.
Ensure you don't overapply it to the treads else it can spill over. I typically apply a few drops and then wipe the screw gently - this ensures it remains between the threads and extra is removed. I use an Indian brand called resimet, way cheaper and same quality as loctite. Blue color medium strength as Rajat mentioned.

fastest folders made by emersons with wave system
http://www.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/emerson/

CRKT M16 or M21 very fast too.

some ZT folders very fast too, but cost much more.

Umm....but fixed blades are not discreet.

YMMV but I always take exception to using a folder for personal defense. Even with the Emerson Wave.
Small FB carried crossdraw on your weak side in front. Cossdraw so your strong hand can draw it. I find that regardless of the situation (in my fetid imagination), one can pull the FB this way. To reach into your pocket and pull the folder will take (as you have demonstrated) multiple moves. Grab the FB and pull and UR ready to go (stab/slash whatever).

And they are discreet enough if you are not carrying over 4 inches or so.
