We (Me and Jayanta) are planning to import a sword from the USA as a test subject, seeking to know once and for all if it can be done with the proper documents at hand.We have been quoted 75$ for shipping, which is far beyond reach.
If someone living in the USA would volunteer to receive the sword, and then ship it to us using an appropriate means,we and i daresay the knife community would be grateful.You will be reimbursed in full.Shipping to Your home will cost about 10$.Shipping to India via registered post will cost 20-25$.That is big savings,seeing the sword costs 50$ or so.
I sincerely hope some one will step forward and help us out.

I should add, i don't know which states have legal issues.So you will have to check that as well.
