Rajat having said "seen more use in Afghanistan" would be an understatement and would rightly be said that it had taken more abuse there than all the knives put together

Even without having known this I would have said it is a decent folder.

Lanyard comes with the knife as a standard accessory due to the deep pocket clip design. Knife purchased from bladeforums.jayanta mukherjee wrote:[ Image ]
Choombak bhai what is the lanyard and where did you pick this one up from?
Cheers

Thank you Criscrisaddriel wrote:I love the "Kukri"
but what i like the most of the knives posted is the rough rider because it is small i could carry it with no problem and could use it for an emergency.

Got me a used RAT Cutlery Izula. Nice little fella , my first small fixed blade. Has a very slim profile should be easy to carry in trouser or jeans pockets. Did a quick cord wrap ( New Desert tan shoe laces, not 550 paracord ) The handle feels much better . Will use for a few days and then plan to strip, patina and new scales..
Smoothened the rough finish on the blade with some emery paper, opened up the jimping a bit with needle file and thread tied on the loose end of the lace

This is probably going to end up as the knife you use the most!
And for obvious reasons.

Carrying it since the last two days, don't think this is a replacement for the faithful SAK, need teh screw driver, bottle opener etc. But where the SAK's blade falters, this is a good back up to have. Very light and comfortable in both jeans and formal office trousers, 1095 took a bloddy long time to sharpen ( a few hours of getting the bevel and polishing it with 1000 grit emery taped to the hone). Puppy's now scary scary sharpRajat wrote:This is probably going to end up as the knife you use the most!

The Seven was designed specifically to "modernise" the venerable marine combat or KaBar ......I did this at the request of Will Fennell who was new products guy at Camillus back then.... the Combat Bowie was very loosely patterned on a knife designed by Bill Moran for then NRA pubs writer, editor Ken Warner when he wanted an 'Any thing, Anywhere blade when he went to Vietnam as an NRA correspondent.........Americans have been carrying big Bowies to war since the Mexican War and, with good reason.......They are hellatiously useful camp and field tools and if ya gotta stick somebody they will do the job.....

The Becker Bk7 Combat Utility Knife. What a monster I am in awe of this blade, the best fixed blade in my collection till date, so I'll stop yapping and post some pics.
The spine is almost as thick as the Bk2 or the Esee5, maybe a hairless.

Re: Some new knives in my collection (pic heavy)
The sheath is a huge improvement over the one that came with the BK5. This one's got muliple carry options, molleback as this is intended for combat use, mulitple lashing points etc etc.. Much much better....
Notice the velcro behind the retention straps, nice detailing
Has pouches for a neck knife and a multitool, here it is with my Izula...
The Bk7 next to the Izula
This puppy's built to last, looks like will survive a nuclear blast
Rajat any chance of sending those spare rosewood handles to mumbai
