Xl sir this fort is in Sindhudurg ,Maharastra,the fort was known as suvarnadurg killa.This fort was among janjira where taxes were collected from merchant vessels coming to India.

Sir,there were some forts built by Shivaji Maharaj and some captured by Portuguese ,I posting some pics of other forts.
Vijaydurg fort,12th century,Bhoja empire,
Padmadurga fort
Shivaji Maharaj 17th century,
other forts near sea ,sewri fort ,Vasai fort ,and there are other small ones spread across the Konkan coast.I have posted the pics from the net. I will pot some of the photos I took later as I dont have them store on this PC.There are some really great forts Maharastra but our system is such that they are in a very bad state.
