Saina Nehwal is in incredible form.

She stormed by Sabrina Jaquet (Switzerland) 21-9 and 21-4 (it took her just 24 minutes to clinch this match)
She blew by Lianne Tan (Belgium) 21-4 and 21-14
She defeataed Jie Yao (Netherlands) 21-14 and 21-16 (38 minutes!)

Tomorrow she will face Tine Baun (Denmark) in the Quarter finals.

The best of luck to you, Saina!

Wow! She did it again, in a mere 39 minutes for two matches.
Her two matches against Baum: 21-15 and 22 - 20. Even though Tine Baum scores are much higher than her other opponents, they don't seem to have caused her that much trouble as the first match was concluded in 16 minutes and the second match took 21 minutes.

She now faces the #1 seeded Yihan Wang from China. "Kitty" Wang is no pushover and it will be a very tough match.

It's not just Indian's who hope to see Saina declare a gold medal to customs on the way home. The Indonesian's, who deeply resent Chinese domination of the game are huge fans of Saina's as she has beat them before. In fact, she has a bigger fan base in Indonesia than in India and gets mobbed on the streets there.
