I like it too!

This is exactly what I was going to get next. You just got it first. :) I like the Fox and the Northstar the most from the BRKT line up.

BTW what have you done to the canvas micarta scales of the Izula. Any noticeable improvement? Or any other reason?

Just wish they were cheaper though...
You'll like the convex grind on this one.
The North Star never appealed to me but I may get an Aurora after the Canadian Special and CDPH get here.
These Barkies are well designed and easy on the eyes but I will probably sell them all barring the CDPH and stick to my boring ESEEs.
What handle material are you looking at.
Coloured the Izula-II scales with automotive spray paint. Doesn't run. No particular reason. Just farting around.

Well, the Northstar and the Fox as far as I can tell without comparing them side by side have the same handle and I kind of like the looks of both :)

Wood scales sure look good and have a charm of their own but somehow I am inclined towards the man made materials. I will probably go for the Micarta or G-10 in the matt finish.

The comparison with the Izula was a very good idea. The proportions etc are very clear now. Not exactly what I had in mind. Only better!

What is your opinion of the Mini as compared to the Izula? Just let us know if it is as good when put to use?

The handle looks good enough and the same size if not a little bit longer.

Taking it fishing on Sunday.
Will give you my thoughts then.
However, if I were to have only one, it would be the Izula-II. Bloody practical knife package, as is every ESEE model.

Yes, I would love to have a few in good old wood. Cocobolo to match my longbow and Desert Ironwood because I love looking at that stuff.
