From Indian manufacture or overseas? If imported prepare for a rap battle with the customs :P They will cause real pain in the butt just cause they wants to, there's no ban on importing .177 air guns and no custom fees though.
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

Is it possible that I give the order to the company directly and send through courier? or I have a friend at London is it possible he will bring it behalf of me? Please guide me.

Import of firearms is in restricted list of import policy. As the things stand today, if someone wants to import any firearm, besides having an arms license, he also needs an import license for the type of firearm for which he has an arms license. Only renowned shorts are exempt from this requirement of separate import license for firearm if recommended by the Ministry of Sports. In order to import firearms you have the following choices:

1) become a renowned shot and get recommendation from Sports Ministry.

Or

2) challenge the restriction put against the import of firearms in import policy in High Court or Supreme Court. Related ideas can be read here http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php ... 42#p146250

Or

3) convince our public "servants" or our "representatives" whom we give our votes to remove the restriction put on import of firearms.

just the other day i had an interesting chat with a very close mate of mine who arrived with a firearm from the uk. so i put him under the torch light [as having load shading] after a lengthily interrogation and a whip around for a beer. This is what he related to me.

1/ had an indian arms licence for the cal.
2/was overseas for over 2 years. got a arms licence there. for the same cal.
3/ on doing a TR. Had end of occupation letter.
while checking out form the UK airport, declared it to the airline who took him to customs and waited for half hour for the customs chap to walk across from other end of the building, took 10 mins to record/check . onto the plane it want. the airline gave him docs.

in INDIA
airline staff took him to the customs with arms.
after a lot of i do not deal with arms with the gent in white one took the arms and gave a receipt and told to come back the next as the chap who does the arms etc is not there.
came back the next day with Indian licence/uk licencee and sale receipt etc.
made a application under TR, wait and wait and wait as the file has to go from office to office to get singed.

got the arms relived with out hassle upon paying the duties etc.

there was no asking for chai pani etc. took 6 hours for the whole rigamrola but came out with the arms intact.

easy as that he said to me, while overdoes with the beer.

Look at this:
Apparently, import of weapon is not prohibited, just restricted.
This loophole has been used by the children of an illustrious politician of ours to procure pb handguns!
The question is, will someone try this route and fight for his rights?

So a letter from the ministry of sports is all that is needed?
