Cool lighter,Ganesh.
Not saying to take away your pride of ownership of this cool toy or suggesting that you do,as an aside, I used to see people tucking them into their belts and going on about like they are real guns. Not very wise though I could understand their enthusiasm. Our police are too eager to mistake.
Best-
Vikram

Re: Gun Model cigarette Lighter
One of my freind faced the situation when his neighbour doubted that he had a real gun and inform the cops....
His house was searched thoroughly (including toilets ) but the search happened after he lost the lighter..........
They changed the colour of his butts after a two hour of what they call "DANDIYA".......he filled their pockets to get out of the case even when he was innocent. He didnt shared how he convinced the cops that it was'nt a gun............sincere apologies if i am sounding strange , i am not discouraging you to keep it but for a layman it looks a gun.............i liked it anyways.....
am not discouraging you but i thought i should share the fact so that one is aware..........i liked it anyways.

That is a weird story.lakecity_shooter wrote:One of my freind faced the situation when his neighbour doubted that he had a real gun and inform the cops....
Why did your friend's neighbour complain when he saw a gun. I don't think civilian ownership is banned outright.
Why did the police turn up LOOKING for the gun instead of asking him for his license?
If they failed to find the suspected "gun", why did they persist?
I think the moral of your story might be to maintain good relations with fellow men, rather than not buy lighters shaped like guns

If we are always going to be afraid of everything that other people are going to say or do, we would never do anything worthwhile.
Don't let what other people think influence every action of yours.

Is it fully metal ? Quite genuine looking albeit smaller to really put someone in doubt. Cute though.

Re: Gun Model cigarette Lighter
Years ago, in 7th standard in school, we used something similar. A revolver shaped keychain which fired a diwali cock brand patakha. We used it during a class play on Chandrashekhar Azad. Obviously, the owner of the keychain was the hero of the story. The "British" firing on him with guns made from exercise notebooks, Azad responding with fire and thunder.
Though the patriotic message was lost on the proles, the audience had fun. They were in splits after every scene, even the tragic ones.
