When you say that a woman using a firearm to protect herself is going to be sentenced to life,you obviously have no idea about what the law is.

1.There is no requirement for a graduated response.

2.There is no requirement for the response to be proportionate to the threat.As long as there is a reasonable fear that the threat may eventually lead to a danger to ones own life.

3.There is no requirement to back down.

4.You can shoot some one to protect some one else even when your own life is not in danger.

and

5.You can shoot a person/persons to even protect property,your own or some one elses.In such a case there is not need for any ones life to be in danger.

If a woman is being molested and she shoots the fellow,I am sure there will be a lot of support for her actions.Groping is molestation.

I agree, shooting him to make him bleed will get you trouble, and in India, nobody will give a shit about what the guy did. Plus, in a crowded bus, you might hurt an innocent.

Its better to keep a sharp edged keychain like the Mantis B1 or something..
