ban the IFG mods

Post by nagarifle » Fri Jun 01, 2012 6:06 am

i believe that its time to ban the IFG mods who sneak around the forum like deadly Ninjas with finger on the delete button to destruct ones post and give bombastic warning to one and all.

these invisible warriors under the cover of the cyber clouds play havoc on us all. there for with the popular vote lets remove them from the forum for once for all.

please state your reason why they should be banned on the forum.

yes mods can also vote. FOR SELF destruction

I have voted, and I dont think they should be banned. And I'll give you my reason my friend so that rest of them think before casting their vote.
The only reason you see IFG coming up in any goddamn search engine when you type gun and India is the level of imformation provided here. This information has been compiled by mods, and more than 8000 users who willinglshare views and experience.8000 users! Everyday thousands come back to this very forum. Do you know why? Because the only thing you find here is information and brotherhood. People here respect each other! These mods keep these two very elements intact.
They dont let any useless views or hatred mix and contaminate the information! And my friend, in a forum where you are fighting against govt, its easy to go political. And politics corrupt everything.

Ever wondered if there were no mods, no rules, people will abuse and nobody can stop him. Somebody might go communal and irritate others! The quality of information might degrade if advertisers start spamming? There would be no mutual respect?

You call'em ninjas? Yes,, they come only when needed!
Try thegungreek.com !! There every post is first moderated and then published! I had to wait for 24 hours to tell guys over bout GBNRA

I don't think mods need to be banned but some of them surely need some respect for others right to express opinions.
Few mods take it to personal level directly violating the first rule of internet by mixing IRC with IRL.

Nagarifle,

Here is another option for you-

Start up another forum by yourself, and then you can be the one to try to herd all the cats!

I suspect that you are not aware of what a constant effort these endeavors take. Somewhat like the old joke about the guy when asked did not know if he could play the violin, and when questioned replied "Well, sure I've never tried but....."

On top of all that, you may not be aware but at this point in history firearms are a somewhat volatile topic. If you decide to moderate a knitting forum and someone knits a corporate logo which technically can violate a copywrite, the official response is going to be a bit less enthusiastic than against someone who posts on a forum that he illegally keeps a gun under his mattress, even though it has not been fired since Grandfather used it to chase the Japanese out of Burma.

Anyway, instead of feeling all butthurt about a group of people who are trying to keep the majority of feathers all smoothed and out of trouble, ask yourself if you contribute more to the harmony or to the discord of a website that is working to help the people of its country earn an unfettered right to keep and lawfully use firearms.

I apologize if I have come across as being rude as I do not wish to belittle anyone, but I feel very strongly about this cause, and it is neither nor certain that it will prevail in time and that bears some thought for those of you that it impacts much more than I.

Sincerely,

Mark

Well this decision again falls onto the broad shoulders of our MODS. So they can BAN eachother when the need is CHRONIC. And their votes should count as much as FIVE because at the end of the day they are "THE MEN OF WISDOM"

What's up ? Someone shoved a bhoot jolokia where the sun don't shine? ;-) Good topic though. we may not be the men of wisdom but compared to some of the posts that we have to boot, we look like geniuses. Some can't or won't even read their own posts to figure out how they come across, then they feel that they are being persecuted.

i think you are not getting the point here. its not about banning me but banning the mods. one should think about this issue as it will effect your post, see how you will like it if they the cyber ninjas by push of a button delete your post with out rhyme or song edited by a mod just to keep you cribbing. ROTFL .

" when i first joined i made few mistakes in posting etc and the mods put me right on that, no offence was taken by me. as if one is a part of a community then one needs to follow the rules, some rules are not liked and some liked. that is part and parcel of the forum. "

You said it bro!! :)

In 2006 I was strapped to my bed for three months...One night, when I was returning from office a huge truck rammed into my car....It was midnight..the Wagon R crumpled into a mash... I was lucky to be alive...
After the doctors were done, I preferred to be left alone in my room. People at home used to leave a laptop by my side. I used to struggle with my nearly numb fingers and look for routes to another world.
One day I found IFG....
It is one of the best things that has happened to me and, if I am not wrong, many amongst us who seriously follow their passion for guns, outdoors et al..
The Moderators have to be tough simply because of the nature of this site. It is necessary...

Cheers

TC
