friend,
what mr.brihacharan said is cold blueing,wherein you degrease your gun thoroughly and apply cold bluing solution.this gives instant bluing to your gun.
google ''cold bluing'' and read it will give proper procedure to do cold bluing.
if you still want to paint ,use a spraying gun.

You can plate your air rifle with chrome or nickel but it'll be expensive I guess. Also there's no rust free paint, everything rusts one day, some just rusts slowly. Keep your rifle clean and apply oil regularly. It'll outlive you.

Your shall contact a good gunsmith , he will do everything .. ( changing spring , paint )
