Please go through past posts in the airgun section. You will find your answers, even if takes time

Generally .177 has higher vel. and flatter trajectory whereas, .22 has more power due to the heavier pellet.amarjitaldakgp123 wrote:please members tell me which caliber air rifle have maximum velocity and range (.117) or (.22) what is the reason for it and anyone please suggest me a good air rifle indian made and how much it can cost today since i have the budget of 5 - 6k which will be the good deal for me

From my experience a heavier projectile will have a better BC (ballistic coefficient) and will retain its energy and velocity downrange compared to its lighter counterpart. hence giving an extra range.
If you are considering buying an Indian breakbarell airgun preferably an IHP, go in for an .177 35Model that would be a good buy. As the power plant of an 35M can handle a .177 cal better than .22. I have owned both and grown up with them, i found the .22 to be a bit heavy for 35M.
cheers

9mm vs. .45ACP desi style
The velocity depends on the gun from which the pellets are fired, .177 has higher velocity than .22 since it weights less but at higher velocity .177 tends to suffer from accuracy loss so the range is useless without accuracy. .22 doesn't suffer much from accuracy loss at high velocity as it weights more.
.177 is appropriate for target practice at subsonic velocity since it has a flatter trajectory. Also competitions only allow .177 pellets to be used. For pest control .22 is best though.
IMHO comparing them to each other is useless since both has different uses.
