If you have a scope on it. Please remove it and pack it seperately.

Hi Guys, i am from Kottayam/Kerala. I am planning to buy a break barrel rifle with 50 mtr range for target practice.
I had one Aimco break barrel with 35 mtr range, which doesnt satisfy me..
Can you suggest a good choice...? Heard lot about IHP-35 is it available in my location and can it hit 50 mtrs..?

Hi !
IHP35 0.22 is available now in kerala, i brought one last month for 5500 from calicut. btw there r people selling the same for 8000 and says the range is 150 mtrs. just like u, i was asking for more range, but after using one i found that hitting a bulls eye at 10 mtrs takes a while.
Take care
Saaj

ihp not make in .25 cal....

.22 Ihp 35 is 35 mtr. In range use in good...50 to 80 mtrs. Pellet traveling is possible but accuracy is not posiible in without scope.....this is my personal thought....

After very long time I got some time to I install stoeger 3x9 scope on my IHP 35 .177 air rifle. It took me around 30-40 min & 30 to 40 shot to zero it at 15 yards (space limitation) but after that I enjoy shooting with my gun bang on target just have a look the clip

After a lot of procastination and dreaming about an imported air rifle, finally after reading all these good things about IHP air rifles, I finally ordered my first IHP National 35 rifle in 0.22 mm caliber from AIMCO on 12/3/2012. Received an e-mail from them that the air rifle has been shipped on the same day. Thats what I call an extremely efficient and swift dealing. . The courier tracking (Gati) was showing committed delivery date as 17/3/12. Thereon till today it was an extremely tentalazing wait and I have been dreaming of my own air rifle every night and all the things that I will do for making the rifle extremely personal. Finally after excruciating waiting just rubbing my palm for holding it in my hand ended today. Some things to be pointed about AIMCO. Extremely good service. Excellent packing in a sturdy wooden box with cushoning of even the cardboard box holding the rifle on all sides. Extremely good wapping of the entire package in water proof tarp. I had ordered a set of 5 assorted GSmith pellets along with the rifle. They were smugly packaged inside the wooden box. The air rifle was packaged in a polythene bag and was well lubricated (I had to wipe some of the excess grease). Just to check alignment, I tested on my empty inhaler. Surprise, hit in first try. Not only a straight hit but it managed to puncture the strong aluminium cartridge. So not only the rifle was zeroed-in before dispatching but the power in this baby is also lauadable. I will post the photo of my rifle and the punctured cartridge shortly. So all in all extremely satisfying transaction and AIMCO is highly recommended based on my personal experience and as I am aware the owner of AIMCO is also a member on this forum, hence I will take this oppurtunity to express my appreciation for his professional approach.

Now while waiting for the rifle to arrive, I was thinking of what all I will like to do to make the rifle personal. I read the entire gunsmithing area, read and saw products / mods done with unbeliavable skills and understanding of technical intricacy specially Oiling of stock thread by Mack The Knife and threads on checkering and glass bidding.

Now I am planning to buy a Dremel 300 kit and try my hand on some wooden articles prior to carrying out some basic engraving work on the stock. Also was looking out for good checkering tools, but alas very hard to obtain in India, it seems. If gurus have the patience to point me to some source in and around Delhi, the same will be highly appreciated.

So guys, I will post the pics of my rifle shortly and hopefully will carry out some acceptable engraving on the stock after hands on training on some wood pieces. One small favour sought. Can some one point to a good design for engraving, I was facinated after seeing a video of celtic knots. I some one can provide a tracing sheet for same, ti will be great.

Ok Gurus and my fellow airgunners, enough of blabbering. But last but not the least thanks to all great experts here who have made it possible for a newbie like me make an informed choice.
Regards,
Nitin

It would have been better if you had ordered some more pellets . Because those 1000 gsmith pellets will not see end of March...

Cheers

Definitely, but don't worry about that as joy biswas of aimco is one click away. :D . Anyway, this is the design I plan to engrave on my stock. It's a little rough around the edges, but what the hell, I only learnt how to draw it today itself. Please do comment.
