i saw a couple of post on this subject and i fail to understand why you guys don't refer to the owners manual that comes along with your pcp? i mean you would be dealing with high pressure air and it can be real dangerous. using a dry pack or not is a different issue, you will have to understand the basics of how a PCP rifle works.

Oxygen are dangerous when used in pcp , try to educate yourself by visiting the rifle club near by and ask for filling methods . Your safest is pcp pump!

Re: oxygen cylinder
My opinion, which is worth what you pay for it-
Oxygen under pressure can cause anything to combust under if that item can oxidize in a normal atmosphere. So if you have any petroleum based lubricants in your gun they have an opportunity to catch on fire here.
However, the main issue for me is not that your gun will detonate in your hands, as if that has ever happened in the past I am sure pictures would have made it into the internet, but that the oxygen will have a very detrimental effect on every single seal it comes in contact with. Not as dramatic as a blown-up gun, but nonetheless something that does not shot accurately any more is my main concern. Instead of oxygen, try getting nitrogen from a welding shop if a source of compressed air is not easily available.

Re: oxygen cylinder
Use ONLY the propellant recommended in the owner manual. If it says HPA (high pressure air) then use ONLY HPA.

Re: oxygen cylinder
If you find that filling air with a hand pump is very tedious then go in for a scuba tank and get it filled with "Zero air" which is usually available at Fire Stations or you can try with Industrial Gas manufacturers. Before you buy a scuba tank see to it that it is tested properly for metal fatigue, which is a common problem with second had tanks... before you start using it. In my honest opinion.... Hand pump is the best.
