would you please throw some light on the pcp issue. there are people here who claim that one needs a pcp to take part in comps from state and above. is it true.

1. Jitu that was a good performance 350/400. You have the potential to go much further, so leave that milestone which you have achieved in the past.
2. Switch to PCP, either Morini or steyr.
3. I am not aware of change in rules, the best place to check is the nrai rulebook or the ISSF rule book.
4. Regarding weight matters and blood sport exercies, i am afraid my BMI is 29 and my heart is with Dev. i exercise 5 time a week, i.e. go for a walk average 5 km with my dogs. I eat a controlled diet, no binges, no mid meals. But still I am overweight. Que Sera Sera, whatever will be ....

Jitu you have been over this before man. Along with discussions on price etc with Guruji...kya yaar itna bhoolne laga hai...40 plus bheju ?

I have been heavy for a long time and my weight is close to what I was during my Tae Kwon Do competition days. The only difference being the level of fitness. I am working on that, no snacking either...I can get leaner but my weight just won't move. The only time that it happened was when I went on the all protein diet. Not recommended though cause it all comes back the moment you begin to sniff a roti.

sorry dev. i dont recall having discussed this issue before. i guess i do require a 40+. but all the same i am still not clear how one can own one. i was told by some one that i would require a NRA card. i have got one made through the raj sate rifle association. but i dont know who to contact and how to get the pcp. last discussion must have been gen on what price range one can get a pcp. but that was wishful thinking more like. now one is seriously thinking of buying one. so need clear advice. pl send me the advice along with a bottle of 40+ if you so desire. infact even 42+ will do . i would be crossing that on the 28th anyway.

For PCPs in India I do not have any idea. I believe that Steyr and Morini have a service back-up in case. Am I right?
I woud like to compete in India some day but whatever I can gather as infos, it is becoming more and more difficult to bring the AP in India. I will be in India in July end this year and try to bring my AP for practice. Let us hope that things will be better then.

Chk with Vishwajit Shinde after the Delhi meet gets over(date ??? Me thinkks after March 20th) or call him up after 10pm. I think he might have a brand new one handy.

Jitu don't cut corners and buy a Pardini cause mentally it may make you feel unsure.
Secondly Steyr and Morini can be serviced easily in Delhi and so that back up helps.
Thirdly, a Steyr is relatively easy to take apart courtesy 'You Tube', though I won't do it myself.
You can buy a steyr by writing an email to Steyr Sportswaffen in Austria, they will take a bank transfer and then a month to make your pistol. Go for the electronic trigger if you order a Steyr.

Dear Jitu and all friends,

All modern APs are excellent. I will go by dev's advice to buy one which has a service back-up in India. So, the choice will zero in on Steyr and Morini.

Nevertheless, the K10 is excellent (not the first batch of production which had problems with pressure chamber). I am told that the initial problems have been solved on K10. Two of our very good fellow shooters use the K10.
In IWA 2012 Nuremberg, Germany, which ended last weekend, Pardini has unveiled the K12. I wonder why a new model was made just after a few years of K10...
In Pardini, my preference is for the K2, the earlier model which I find sleek aesthetically.

Personally, I am a fan of mechanical triggers and I find the one on Morini to be the best. Moreover, Morini has a reputation to be a 'Forgiving' gun. So my choice would be Morini CM162 with a mechanical trigger.
Having said all that, I must add that AT OUR LEVEL, except for the aesthetics, we do not have the ability to judge the finer aspects of an AP, like the 'Trigger regularity', 'the balance' etc. etc.

So, your choice should be dependent on looks, price and service back-up. The service back-up should be placed first, the placement order of the two other criteria depends on you. Do not ignore the 'Looks' because it will also help you to perform better because you would love to feel it . Personal experience

BTW, I remember having seen AGN on a photo on IFG meet in Pune with a FWB P34 or P40, I believe. Am I right?
