M1A
Thought I would show you a picture of my M1A, it is all original military, except for the reciever. The barrel was made in 1962, by Harrington & Richards. The firearm was assembled about 1990. I bought it out of a collection, and it was in unfired condition. I have put about 500 rounds through it, and it has a very good set of sights on it. I am going to scope it up, but have not got around to it yet. Other than it is not as optics mounting friendly as more modern military issue models, I would put the accuracy, and dependability as equal to, or better in some cases. I like my HK91, but the M1A is a hoot to shoot at steel gongs, at 400 to 500 meters.

That looks really good, Corjack.

Re: M1A
Nice looking gun there!
I had a Garand for a while, and while it was nice to shoot if I had to carry one across Europe my arms would have looked like an Orangutans by the end of it.

Yes, it has the hole drilled in the side of the receiver for a scope mount.YogiBear wrote:Aloha,
Is yours set up to mount a scope?
If not you will have to find a gunsmith who has knowledge about M1A scope mounting.
