Mob justice-armed or not!

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Mob justice-armed or not!

Justice alone is the mainstay of government and the source of prosperity to the governed, injustice is the most pernicious of things; it saps the foundations of the government and brings ruin upon the realm - Sher Shah Sur, Sultan-ul-Adil.

Isn't Gujrat a dry state? Or is that exactly why something like this happened?!

Cheers!

Yep, Gujrat is a dry state only for the common man and not the police

The cops make money from the 'dryness', but that's another story.

The moot point is see what citizens can do when there is a rogue amongst us. Apparently this PSI was beaten black and blue before being handed over to the authorities in a semi conscious state (no doubt accelerated by the liquor he had consumed while on duty).

There was another incident of 'private firing' that went unreported in the mainstream media lately. With land prices sky rocketing lately, there was a tiff between a group of realty developers and some villagers on the eastern fringes of Ahmedabad. Either or both parties fired their arms in the air to intimidate the opposite camp. The police station is situated barely 15 mins from the place where this happened. The police, believe it or not, shut the gates and doors of the station to prevent anyone from entering, instead of rushing to investigate the happening.

I can't seem to find a link to this report, but should I locate it, I'll put it up.
