My DIY Airrifle stock
Hi Guys,
Its a long Time project for me to make a custom stock for my pcp rifle and some days ago i went to pick up a suitable blank from a wood store and picked a 6"x2"x30" wood blank . removed the action and traced the profile and i want to have theoben mfr style stock so made some modification on my over sketch and gave it to a profile cutter then gave the profile to a 70yr old carpenter and made the needed modelling in just 2 hrs now the proto type just need the action inletting and sanding ..further

its is made for my customized 850airmagnum dual powered hpa rifle in .177 cal
The wood shown is pine blank , semi hard wood great for making profiles since its a initial start , i started with this wood and still have burma teak blank

Striker, any reason you didn't inlet the stock first, before carving?

Nice question hamiclar, being a novice my first learning in stock making is better to inlet the action then start the carving but i started the carving first and now i have some trouble in inletting the stock !
