Hello IFG,
Just got an email from Pyramyd Air. Said that FedEx has resumed shipping airguns to India. We can place the orders now.

Hello,
I am Mahesh Bhagnari.
Dont import anything yet. My airgun is still stuck with Delhi Customs since first week of November. I call up FedEx daily and get assurances that the clearance is in process. This is the case even after I supplied the links of the Hon. Supreme Courts stay order to the guys at FedEx.
I am a member of MRA, and have supplied all the documents as demanded by FedEx.
You can check the status online here:
http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?action=tr ... 2854605837
I would suggest that you wait till this shipment gets cleared to be certain that the Delhi Customs are following the SC stay in spirit.
Regards

Thanks, Mahesh - don't get me wrong here. I didn't say "Start importing". I just posted the update from Pyramyd Air. Its just to inform that FedEx has resumed shipping to India.
Thanks,
Arrun

I spoke to Dushyant at FEDEX clearing team who has cleared my airgun imports in the past-he says no airgun imports as of now-please spk to him on 01147700282 before jumping in some disaster!pyramydair air is NOT a guarantee but fedex Dushyant is since hes the chap who gets the final custom clearance!!

These FedEx Delhi guys are too lazy..they do not wish to put any efforts. I have requested FedEx management to have Mumbai as a port of entry if the importer lives in Mumbai. Awaiting their revert- and I am sure they won't disappoint me.
Try calling up on Dushyant's direct line- they don't even answer. Too busy in clearing the consignments in which they get to mint..
Thanks,
Arrun
P.S- Also, FedEx clearance team is no one to me- when it comes to clearance, I can do a better job myself (Even you can). Its just a shipping company...just help me deliver on time, I'll take care of my stuff myself.

Can anyone one give first hand proof of Customs allowing their .177 airgun through after the Supreme Court order. My has been stopped even after I showed them a copy of the SC stay. Please give direct instances and not "you heard that so-n-so has said etc". If one starts every port will open up.
Thanks !

Customs clearance is something beyond Dushant or FedEx's control.
You might feel that they can get it cleared. But in reality MEN IN WHITE are typically crazy and they don't respond to any queries till the time the legalities are fixed. Also be aware that the daily Warehouse charges can be anywhere around Rs75 - Rs100. I haven't heard regarding any shipments being cleared in the past 3 months.

Mahesh it is best NOT to share your tracking No. with anyone & especially on a public forum. in a previous instance we had a petty monger ask me and a friend (also a member here) for our tracking numbers, i refused to comply but my friend who gave the number suffered badly so much so that his subsequent shipment is still stuck with the customs for over a year now & all because he gave his tracking number to a person who misused it to get his shipment released.
please be careful.

I agree on SNIPER's comment's.
You would have unwanted people using your tracking number for referencing with FedEx or even reach out to customs and give a reference with the above shipment.

I was not aware that anybody can use my tracking number to get me in to trouble. I just shared it so that members who are looking forward to import air guns can keep on checking to find out if the custom guys are clearing the shipments.
I've been promised a positive result in a few days by Bhaskar of FedEx. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Hope for the best.
