Bought Aimco m35 rifle-.22 cal

Post by FPSRussia » Wed Dec 28, 2011 5:53 pm

Today I got my m35 air rifle from Aimco.Excelent sales support and quite prompt. The rifle is heavy and trigger is hard to press. Also it came with a painted stock(am thinking of getting it polished). But its shoots quite hard.Perforated a tin container from 30 yards out.Pellets stuck in the 1/2 inch box wood from 15 mts.The rifling in the barrel is very good.Need to wait untill it breaks in to get a proper accuracy and power conclusion. Will post pics very soon.(was busy in shooting today:D)Also its not fitting aimco round head and pointed pellets,so suggest me about other pellet brands.

Regards

> Congrats on your acquiring a AIMCO 22cal air rifle.
> Being a new gun give it time to settle down by shooting atleast 500 to 1000 pellets.
> If AIMCO pellets don't fit - Try Mastershot, they should probably fit - If not take it to your local gunsmith and have the breech slightly widened.
> Take care not to over-do it.
> Learn & practise all Safety Rules while handling your gun - it's very important.
Good Luck :D

Someone told me, canon brand only makes true bore for .22 and .177 and next comes IHP. All other indian brands are making smaller bore. The reason due to technical (miss) understanding. I believe they feel the groove to groove should be 5.5 in case of .22 (5.5) therefore the make the bore .2~3 smaller which is almost impossible for standard pellets to go in.

You can get a 60 degree chamfering bit like this one http://www.forsterproducts.com/catalog. ... did=700272 and help yourself. With a little care you can do your job well. You don't need any drill machine if you are little innovative. Just think how carpenters used to drill in old days.

2400 is a steal... is the Aimco M35 way cheaper than IHP?
Because quality-wise, even though IHP is better, it is not Waaay better..

The current price for IHP is 8000+

Hi all!I have shot more than 300 pellets. The most notable thing is the trigger. Its suprisingly light and smooth now(was almost jammed after 20 shots).Consequently the accuracy has increased. Will make a teak-wood stock for the rifle and sell this one(looks like ihp's....doen't it!).A good rifle apart from being heavily built....

Its surprisingly light

My friend, I am not so comfortable. Initially the trigger was very hard and now it is Its surprisingly light. Please question yourself, what made the trigger so light only after 20 shots

There are only two probabilities:
1. Either the trigger or sheet worn-out due badly due to filthy material (TOO DANGEROUS)
OR
2. You filed it (Which is not)

I suggest to you have your gun replaced before it too late.

Just my 2cents.

Dear Shooters
All Indian made air guns or rifles will be hard to load and the trigger will also be hard. They are made like that, contrary to imported weapons, which have different mechanism. Being an Indian be satisfied with what you bought.
But all Indian made air guns or rifles will become smooth in course of time. I shall also give you some instructions to use your weapon for a long time. I have many, more than 100 years old fire arms, and also more than 25 years old air weapons. Every time after using an air weapon put a few drops of oil into the barrel through the muzzle. Also put one drop of oil at the moving parts. Keep an oil drenched cloth near the weapon and clean the weapon with the cloth and place the weapon in a safe place or in a wooden box only by holding the wooden part and not touching the metal parts. Otherwise the moisture in your palm will make the weapon get rusted. To bring back bluing is very expensive and may cost the same amount of the weapon. Never , Never, Never fire an unloaded weapon. If you do not wish to fire: re-cock the weapon by bring down the barrel and pressing the trigger. This will release the cocking. Learn to overhaul and change spring, trigger and the washers and also do bluing and varnishing the wood. Contact me to help you. Have a nice shooting.
Pandian.

May be my words were confusing...

>My trigger was almost jammed on 21st or 22nd shot....had to pull very hard to shoot. But thats only once.
>Not before 300 rounds, the trigger became light. Now my rifle has shot more than 600 shots and its fairly accurate.
>I'll let it checked by a gunsmith whos our neighbour. To see if bad quality material has been used as indicated by SUFFIX.
