Moin...nice collection...beautiful pictures...loved the Khukri and the Rampuris.
Your Rampuris have tempted me to get some into my small collection.
Any online resource from where some can be sourced for decent pricing.
Best.

Thank You TC, like I mentioned the khukri's a wonderful wonderful gift which I'll always treasure. Superb craftsmanship, full tang and very innovative design features in the knife and the scabbard.TC wrote:Moin,

Locally manufactured knives always have a certain charm to them, even though they maybe lighyears behind a factory manufactured imported folder interms of the steel or the build quality. The Rampuri's a bollywood veteran an all time favourite of the quitessential bollywood villian...

Hell fire, I seriously doubt these will be availble online. brought a lot of small folders from this guy and chatted with him for almost half an hour about knives and tools before he was confident enough to pull out his stash of rampuris. (Apprently these hardware guys are not permitted to sell these anymore). The large ones with 6 inch blades are for INR 1000 to INR 1200 each. They are still being manufactured in Aligarh and these hardware sellers bring in a few along with locks etc. I'm sure these will be a lot cheaper in Aligarh.hellfire_m16 wrote:Moin...nice collection...beautiful pictures...loved the Khukri and the Rampuris.

Not sure if you've seen this episode of the Deadliest Warrior, "US Navy Seal vs Israeli Commandos". Apparently the US Seals using the Cold Steel Recon contrary to the standard issue Sog Navy Seal Knife.Fun to watch a Special Ops Veteran decapitate a test dummy with the Cold Steel Recon Tanto Knife.
No episode on the Indian Paras or the NSG, one of the finest Special Forces in the world.

Thank you Sowmi, glad you liked the collection. All my knives fade in comparison (except the Damascus Khuk that's so precious and dear to me) to the ZT''s, Sypderco's, Extrema Ratios and Benchmade's owned by some memebers here
Just go through the various threads in this section of IFG, knife porn at it's finest.
P.S: No interest in firearms/guns/airguns whatsoever, Strange and blasphemous sounding in IFG website, but I'm a knife/edged weapons enthusiast.

Got it! I am familiar with the 78 and 81. Sometime ago we even had a discussion about these knifes here on IFG.Moin. wrote: Glock 78/81 Rajat, not 71

Ofcourse, these guys are as good as any other Special Ops Units from anywhere in the world, have proven their mettle time and again.Rajat wrote:Got it! I am familiar with the 78 and 81. Sometime ago we even had a discussion about these knifes here on IFG.Moin. wrote: Glock 78/81 Rajat, not 71

P.S: On a lighter note The IA's not as loaded as you to be able to purchase the Extrema Ratios and the ZT's
