Apart from Air Rifle shipments all my official / business FedEx package gets cleared only thro Delhi Customs.

The route is typically USA - France (Paris) - India (Delhi)
Daystate Buckmaster (Limited Edition 70/100), Walther Dominator, Diana 350 Magnum, Weihrauch HW50, Harrington & Richardson 20 Guage

vmanicks,
FedEx also clears from Mumbai and Bangalore, apart from other ports. However, I think they will define their logistics based on their load management. But maybe a request on where it should land will be appreciated and honoured?

Hi,
I've been looking for a "Walther Dominator 1250" for myself, so can anybody here suggest me where can I find this gun in India? I live in Bhubaneswar (Orissa). Also can anybody just tell me what would be it's price in India? Also I have been looking for a "Daisy 008 Powerline" Air pistol, can somebody suggest me where can I find it? If necessary, I'm ready to import it, one of my elder brother is a "Orissa Rifle Association" founding member. So, I can just import it in his name. But I didn't find any online Guns selling website who ship guns to India. Can anybody suggest me any website for this Air pistol please? But it would be better if you rather suggest me a seller in India. One last help, is "Umarex airmagnum 850" somewhere available in India? Also what's the best BB Air pistol available in India?? Please somebody help me... :)

Anybody recently imported airgun from walther Germany ?

Dose it comes directly to Mumbai Port for clearance Or via Delhi port only?

Do we choose port while ordering?

Please post if anybody have experience.

Arjun.

Hi TenX ,

If Fedex has not filed a bill of entry at New delhi then you can ask them to send it to any other port in India for
custom clearance but if they have already filed the bill of entry at New delhi then the shipment has to be cleared from New Delhi .

I talked and emailed FedEx, and also sent them a letter addressed to the Delhi Customs requesting trans-shipment to Bangalore customs.... but they reply once in 3-4 days, after I call and remind them to check my mail... hopeless on that end!

Jonah... I also wrote to PyramidAir explaining this problem to them... soliciting their response too! I have asked them to let me know if they work with other couriers, and if we can choose the port of entry... Lets see.

What did you order?
Hope you can get it soon. Cant you use your Shooting certificates and all that?

yes he is right .tenx your only solution would be is "Transshipment of goods" -Goods can be transshipped from one conveyance to other after following required procedure. Such transhipment may be to any major port or airport in India. The goods can be transshipped to any other customs station in India if Customs Officer is satisfied that the goods are bona fide intended for transhipment to any customs station. The facility is available at all customs ports and Inland Container Depots (ICDs).ref http://www.dateyvs.com/custom03.htm

Thanks Striker.
Unfortunately, FedEx is not communicating on the Trans-shipment I sent to the Deputy Commissioner, Delhi Customs! And most of these babus wear a suit and become the next PM!
I am hoping for the Supreme Court case to be ruled favorably, on the new date (9th Dec) given yesterday.
