Hi friends,
Need a small advice, is owning a knife needs some license in india, and what is the maximum permissible length of the blade one can keep without a license.
cheers

Very, very nice Boris - enjoy!
Great thread - have been enjoying all the images - and learning.
Now, I should have shared some pics much sooner....but I guess I have been just, plain LAZY - or maybe my recent move to a new country, shifting, unpacking, sorting, arranging...etc has been a demotivating factor!
Would soon share pics:
1. Khanjar - Omani, 10" Filigree Silver Scabbard (Framed / Display)
2. Machete - Legitimus Collins & Co USA (Army issue, WW-II - maybe) - knockabout tool
3. Penknife, 2-Blade S/S (Main Knife, Can opener, Bottle Opener) - Gibberson & Co Sheffield, Eng, 1945 (Army - up arrow, WW-II) - use all the time tool
4. Hunting Knife, Steel set - in with Leather Scabbard, Twin (Large15"+Small 8"), M. Nieto, Spain - very sharp, never used, display
5. Khukri, Brass Handled, Ornamented Blade 18", in greenish, translucent Buffalo Horn Scabbard, with the two little fellows to boot - chopped a few stout branches, but mainly display
6. SABER, USA S/S, interesting cut-outs on the blade, with compass embedded on blade, 10.5" - never tried - display
7. Throwing Knife, looks - home made, unbranded, heavy, great balance - tried, works good

Hey Boris......Good buy....Great blades!! I have both of these. Specially the 5161 Millitary is a brilliant camping/ outdoor knife, the serrations at the back good for sawing. The edge and tip strength is also very good. You will enjoy them for a long time to come!!:)

Re: Let's see your knives - big and small.
My modest collection. Most of these are survival knives which I use during my annual treks.
My SAK collection
Right - My first knife, an SAK Trailmaster; Middle - This Officer Suisse is my EDC; Left - The Sentinel is a no-frills knife and has only a large locking blade. Its my standard backup on treks now.
Becker Bk 7
Becker Bk 2
Becker Necker (Bk11)
This khukuri has been customised. This 7 inch blade is more of a recurve.
It's a full tang blade with a rosewood handle
The khukuri's spine is even thicker than the Bk2's.
A Victorinox boning/fillet knife
Gerber Prodigy.
The edge chipped off during hard use
Mora Triflex. It's a handy tool but it rusts too soon. The rust can be tackled though
This Nieto is my first fixed blade knife. Bought it from Calcutta
I bought this during my trekking trip to Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Possibly China-made.
Victorinox Multi-tool
