All learned friends,
kindly help, I recenty got a HW77 air rifle. I intend to attach a sling to it.
The sling I want is for no carry purpose but to learn how to shoot a rifle using a sling.
If am not wrong if sling used properly adds to the stability of hold.
Dear all kindly help which swivel i should use so that there is minimum or no damage at the front end.
I sencerely thank in advance, and will thank with open heart for your valueable input.
Regards.

Re: Sling on HW 77
The only way you will get a sling on the 77 is on the underlever, attached to a clamp/stud.
After using it for a while, the clamp will become loose. It will start to move and scratch the blueing underneath.
I have seen this happen with a friend's underlever. Interestingly, when I was getting my Weirauchs customised by Steve Pope, he expressly refused barrel/under lever clamps, for the same reasons.
Springers are meant to be shot held loosely. To use slings to steady them may be counterproductive anyway.
My 2 cents

"Stan, don't you know the first law of physics? Anything that's fun costs at least eight dollars."

This picture will give you a fair idea how a sling looks on a HW-77K...
