Till date the gun has been fired empty just twice, out of the two once by the dealer and once i did. I think i will open it up soon. Hopefully theres not much damage inside.

Agree! This is surprising. That to for a new rifle. The trigger has a screw (accessible only in removing the back cap).
Would advice you to immediately stop using the rifle till you have it rectified.

Best bet would be to take it to Olympic and ask them to rectify the problem or replace the piece.

Yes, the gun will cock. Sometime it would be difficult to understand if the spring broken you will just get some pellet drop. You will experience many different behavior and all depends on the gun you are using, the place where the spring broke etc.airgun_novice wrote: If the spring's broken would he be able to cock the gun at all ?
Then, that would be most prominent. He would have comeback with a question that how his furniture broke?airgun_novice wrote: Was the gun fired empty a few times or with the barren broken ? what say ?

These are incredible groupings? in what position did you take the aim/shots? was your gun "zeroed in" when you bought or did you zero in? I'm looking to buy a new air rifle, have Cannon and Aimco on my radar, your inputs are very valuable.
Did you get the gun fixed? - good luck
