Scuba Tanks for PCPs'
Ladies & Gents,
Need some advice on PCP air guns. I've bought a Walther Dominator 1250 & a hand pump to charge the PCP cylinder. The last missing link in the chain is a Scuba Tank. Would somebody please advice me as where I can purchase a Scuba Tank rated to 300 bar & more importantly where can I get it charged to 300 bar??
Thanks & Regards

Try medical oxygen suppliers, try asking them for normal breathable air . Do not fill oxygen in the scuba tank though.

walther dominator 300 bar cylinder is hard to charge to full 300 bar with 300bar cylinder as there will be always some lag from the source cylinder .
220 bar filling will yeild you some 30-40 shots . dominator internal valve have regulator and set to work over 1900 psi approx .

one of the great disadvantage is you have to unscrew the tank for every refilling .the shot count is not as advertised .

Vaibhav Oxygen Ltd on Mathura Road and Uttam Air Ltd in Okhla are 2 places I know of who would fill HPA and also sell scuba tanks. While the tanks are rated to 300 - 400 bar, they are not filled beyond 220 bar for safety reasons, although both these companies have compressors to fill upto 300 bar.

Re: Scuba Tanks for PCPs'
Filling a Scuba Tank to 300 Bar is really not possible .I realised this after I imported a CF Scuba Tank .
There is no one willing to fill a Scuba Tank to 300 BAR . And also Its impossible to fill the Domi to 300 BAR.
My advice is go in for an used Scuba Tank so if you are not happy with it you can always get rid of it without losing much .

Re: Scuba Tanks for PCPs'
Mrityunja, since you are based in Jaipur my advice to you would be to scout out for chaps supplying the various industries in/ around Jaipur with industrial gases. First stop would be to check the yellow pages make some calls, next would be to approach the local chamber of commerce for their directory etc. You can also try searching online for such suppliers (based in Jaipur).
Since this will be an ongoing requirement for you, best to make the initial effort and find a local supplier. I'm willing to bet that there will be more than one in a place like Jaipur.
If all else fails, you can always try approaching your local fire station. They have both scuba tanks as well as compressors for filling them (for fire fighting breathing equipment). Ask nicely and maybe they will let you fill your tanks for free
Cheers!
