Blank pistols

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

If you want this kind of stuff you may as well take the trouble and get yourself a license. At least you'll get a real firearm.

Assuming that you do purchase it abroad, would you have calculated the cost of actually bringing it over? I presume it might just work out to 40K.

Forgive me but I'm not convinced over this blank stuff. It's out right dangerous. And I'm thinking in a 'gun fighting' kind of way. Believe me, you don't ever, ever, ever want to be caught with a blank firing gun in your hand in any kind of situation.

Best,
Katana

Thanks for being so considerate, Katana. The blank's not going anywhere out of my room. I am planning to make a short film. I would need it for that purpose, and for nothing else. :)

Life's pretty safe in Mumbai. Never have ever thought of keeping a firearm or something. When I need it, I'll definitely apply for a license- and have the real stuff with me. I calculated the cost- I'll get an MCG beretta for not more than 25k INR- including shipping and insurance.

Thanks,
Saif

26-11-2008......Mumbai..........................
Interestingly while one of the NSG Commandos who died fighting the terrorists belonged to Dehradun , the other had done part of his Military training here (a small town where people still remember them). They were both awarded the Ashoka Chakra (India's highest peace time gallantry award).
Life's not so safe anywhere in India.....or even abroad for that matter.

Yes Prashant. We do remember it. That was done by external terrorists, and Mumbai always have been on their target, than any other place in India. I agree that a lot of people wouldn't have died if any of the people had guns on them at the time when they attached.

But, otherwise Mumbai is pretty safe as compared to a lot of other places in the country. If you talk about the internal terrorism, if elsewhere more than Mumbai. For instance, Delhi, and the places around Delhi.

Thanks,
Saif

The “‘Hafta” culture and so called underworld petty Dons and “Tapories” are always connected with Mumbai.

Guys, this topic or forum is not to discuss whats the crime rate or something like that. It's about guns, and our love for guns- and our rights. :)

Thanks,
Saif

Hello Eljefe:

It's hightime that we take any more shit from these "nalla" taporis and majorly, terrorists. Whatever happened on 26/11- was that last thing ever for them. Now we are equipped with some of the best sniper rifles, great force, and other modern machines- I am not sure about M4's.

Every citizen is alert- nationwide- thats why we have NAGRI, and this great forum. We need security, not from the police or something. We are clear about our ideas. we need to posses the guns, and blow the shit out of terrorists asses if they attack us. Also, to take care of the taporigiri as well. :)

Thanks,
Saif

No, that could happen only when you posses the real stuff.

Also, if the PFC caps are not available, I will order them from the US.

Thanks,
Saif

Yes, blanks do look real and sound like a real firearm. But the fact remains that they cause no harm, or couldn't be converted to shoot real bullets. Where permit is concerned, it still remains as a doubt to me. Need to clarify with the champs.
We continually stress safety in firearm ownership here at IFG, and it is important to emphasize that firearms are not toys!

Several years back, I recalled the death of one person who thought otherwise. This is the best reference I could find of that event without subscribing to a news archive service, but I think it gets my point across:

Preacher shoots himself in head during sermon

I cannot stress enough how mistaken it is to treat these sorts of things without the proper respect. Even in the case of a blank gun that has the blast deflected, there is still the possibility of hearing or even eye damage. As those who are espousing the Right to Keep and Bear Arms here, it is important that we stress that we are RESPONSIBLE! No reasonable person wants to live next to someone who they think is a kook, and firebreathing threats are a good way to give just such an impression.

Furthermore, I don't know how the laws read in India, but here in the USA, if you rob a bank with a gun, a toy gun, and air gun, or make threats as if you have a gun, you are going to be charged the same: just as if you had a gun.
“Fanaticism consists of redoubling your efforts when you have forgotten your aim.”

Dear Timmy,

Thanks for the info. But let me put it as clear.. for me, its a TOY. Wanna know why? Because I look at it as a toy. Its about the perspective.

Guns, toy-guns, airguns cause no harm, people do. Again, I look at it as a toy because I have no intention of robbing a bank, or to cause myself some kind of a harm, or anyone else. I love guns, I just wish to collect them. I am not going to order the cartridges. I hope I am as clear as that.

Thanks,
Saif
