Last production was apparently in 1954.
Do post some pictures of your shotgun and mention serial numbers and show proof marks if possible. Maybe some further information can be ferreted out.

I think that you have posted this remark here for the lack of some things to do yourself. What do you propose next? Shut down IFG and replace it with Google?

Most of the things posted, discussed here can be Googled up but it the the interaction between people, sharing of views and opinions and to know and gain from what each participant has to contribute that keeps this or any other forum running.

Abstain from such mean comments if you have nothing better to say.

At time there are posts and queries from people which really deserve such a comment but this was not it. Even if there are such posts or inquiries from people from time to time it is better to ignore these than to post such remarks.

Greetings from the USA,

Jose Cruz Mugica (maker’s code AB, company later known as Suc. de J. C. Mugica after the passing of Jose Cruz) I believe went out of business in the 1980’s (possibly during the DIARM fiasco). Mugica was one of the many, many small Spanish shotgun makers, and guns produced by him are frequently seen here in the US. Here is an example of a Mugica, currently offered on an on-line auction:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =247221559

Mugica was capable of producing very fine side lock shotguns, but most of his guns I have encountered are low to mid price point guns like the one in the above auction.

Hope this is of some value.

Best,
Kyrie
