Canon LG035 in .177 caliber
Hi everyone,
Got to see availibility of Canon LG035 in .177 caliber with Target Tune India at almost Rs. 7000/-. If any one have got hold of that, please comment in terms of power and performance. To my mind, Canon Air Rifle is manufactured by Olympic Sports based in Kolkata.

Guys the price of Canon 65 is Rs. 2,700 in Calcutta at the Olympic Sport shop behind Lal Bazaar police station, who happen also to be the manufacturers of the gun. This is for the .22. The .177 is about 300 bucks less. I have not seen a .177 so far but they do quote for that caliber. This is the price and they charge you what they quote. I have never been to the shop but I did give my friend the contacts when he went there (his home town) and he got it for me. He was able to bring it in Spice jet as check in luggage, in a completely dismantled form. Prices in other states have a minimum of 100% profit attached to the price tag. My gun is well tuned and really great. I in all honesty wouldn’t trade it for any other brand. "

7000 INR ? May be it must be tuned and fitted with a true two stage trigger to cost that much.

One thing you have to understand is that air rifles are only cheap when you buy from the manufacturers outlet or at Kolkata.
Rs.7,000 is steep but can be considered quiet normal in the south. Just ensure that if you are paying that price, the gun comes tuned.
Will not vouch for any trader, but some traders can tune a air rifle.
If you are used to an IHP, be read for some extra weight

Re: Canon LG035 in .177 caliber
Got the latest update about Olympic. they are manufacturing pieces only when there is a demand for a lot otherwise they are just making pieces by count of 1 or 2.
it doesnt seem like they will ship you the gun from kolkata. they will tell u their distributor at the place where you live say Delhi, Mumbai etc.
other option is to tell somebody to buy it from kolkata and bring it with him. airlines allow carraige in a dismantled form.

Re: Canon LG035 in .177 caliber
Dear Abhi11,
I had opportunity to to test both C-35 in .177 and C-65 in.22, lying with cal.22.
These are the finest gun available in India before Precihole came with there products.
It require proper tuning to make it consistent and dead accurate.
In terms of finishing, craftmanship and balance it scores higher than IHP any day.
It has adjustable trigger which can be reduced to 1400 grams pull.
It can generate max 500 fps in .22 and 600 fps in .177 provided it is tuned properly.
I tested a C-65 in .22 through audacity software after tuning , which has a cocking pressure of 16 lbs,
delivered 470 fps with 12 grain local Aimco pellets.Firing was a real joy.
Hope this may help you to make your purchase decision.
