Re: Verdict of Court for Air rifle licence and sale of airrifle
I agree with Abhijeet, if the Govt. decides to go ahead with it then it can and will be implemented, so its better to stop the process in the initial stages itself rather than let it become part of the Arms act and then try in vain to have it reversed.

Abhijeet, you are absolutely correct.mundaire wrote:If you gents are banking on procedural hurdles to ensure that the verdict remains only on paper, you couldn't be more wrong. If the Govt. decides not to appeal (the GOI was the initial respondent in the case, with NRAI and Airgun Mfr Assn. joining in later) OR decides to implement it to the fullest, small issues like the total number of airguns in circulation, lack of serial no's etc. would not be any impediment for them.
Many of the old muzzle loaders did not have any serial no. stamped on them, did that prevent their licensing?
The point I am trying to make is simple. Unless people are ready join together and battle it out, prepare yourselves to loose your freedoms - bit by bit! The direction things are currently taking I wouldn't be surprised if eventually the only guns & airguns we will see would be either owned by the state (security forces) or in photographs!
On a brighter note, Shri. Raninder Singh, the new President of the NRAI has sworn to win this battle - even if it means spending money from his own pocket (his own words). That fact, and also since the Court verdict puts a question mark on the Airgun Mfrs Assn being party to the suit, would lead me to suggest that if anyone wishes to contribute to this legal battle, they should consider contacting the NRAI... this is merely my suggestion.
Cheers!
Abhijeet
Please inform Mr. Singh that he is not alone in the battle to secure our Gun Rights. We are all with him.
Within my capacity and means, I am ready to forward any help that he may require to win this battle.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Re: Contributing money for legal expenses for filing appeal
Dear Mods,
There are multiple threads (atleast 3) on the same topic of members' contribution for an appeal (unless I have misfired). If so can we pls merge them?
Cheers,
Rup

Re: Contributions to Support Fight Against Licensing Airguns.
Gentleman! In my personal opinion, our contributions to this cause should be either thru IFG or NAGRI which in turn can handover the contributions to NRA.
I have already commited a sum of Rs. 10,000/- in this regard.
Remember, no amount is small. We need to support the NRA in whichever way we can to fight the battle.
There has been enough talking, its about time that we all become proactive.

Re: Contributing money for legal expenses for filing appeal
I will send in my contributions but where were all you people sleeping when Mr PC had started all this bs? All the airgunners were sleeping and taking it easy with the typical indian attitude of how does it affect me... now people are waking up. The point my friends as Dr. Prashant and Abhijeet have already raised , is we need to unite and fight for RKBA.
