Re: IHP "National" air rifles & pistols
Yesterday got hold of an IHP Mod 35 0.177 from Hassanand hemmandas in Mumbai.
The best part of my purchase is that i was helped by the most prominent member of IFG.. MR. Brihacharan....
Sir had to purchase a gun from the shop so when he had been in the shop for purchasing a 0.22 IHP he selected a 0.177 for me out of the lot and tagged the rifle with my name along with two packs of pellets.. The only thing i had to do is go to the shop and blindly pick up the gun along with a canvas cover for the bag. No doubt about the gun as it was thoroughly checked by SIR.. Three cheers to SIR...
Reaching home i fired some 30 odd shots with the pointed pellets and guess what the trigger is just so smooth. All thanks to Brihacharan Sir again.
All i can say is i have been successful in gettin a good rifle which is most important for any debutant shooter. Getting the right gun made the day for me.
Thanks to IFG and its members for the valuable suggestions and discussion that go on and which has helped me to zero down on an IHP rifle.. Its indeed a good gun to start with for a beginner.
Looking forward for your advice and suggestions if any.
Pics will be uploaded shortly..
Regards.

I go bang bang bang after returning from work. But the sad part is i have to shoot through my home to my open terrace where there is absence of good light and which inturn makes my sight of target poor. Still waiting to feast on my Gun this Sunday morning ..........Jakki wrote:I hope you are enjoying your new toy..

Get a pellet trap. Will prevent accidents, ricochets, etc.
There are a few designs available on this site for a permanent solution. You can, however, use a 2ft * 2ft cardboard carton (ask your friendly neighbourhood retailer for a "cartoon"), stuff it with newspapers, say 1 ft thick. Better to use old telephone directories. For added security, place a piece of plywood at least 1/2 cm thick at the back of the "cartoon". Hang it up, stick target papers onto the front with tape, and bang away!
For lighting, if the target area is under your control, you can use a hanging bulb, at a safe height. I do the same, about 3 feet higher than highest point of target, and using old table lamp metal cone to safeguard the bulb, as well as focus the beam.
Cheers!

Re: IHP "National" air rifles & pistols
Thanks all of you... I would prefer waiting for sometime and use the gun as it is.. Its shooting smooth and good.. more than 350-400 pellets have been fired through.. But the problem is i havent laid my hands on the mastershots pellets. Dianashot Flat heads were good but inconsistent. Diana shot Pointheads were worst so i dont use that.. its very very loose. so loose that if i turn the barrel upside down it falls down. I hope i am correct in not using those pointheads. Next bought the Marshal Shots.. That too inconsistent. Thinking on ordering flatheads from aimco.
Anybody has idea whether the Mastershot co. ships diretly to the customers?? that too retail customers?? I tried sending a query but there is an error it shows after i click submiton the webpage of mastershot co.

Hi prasanjit,
Yes, U can have a master shot pellet directly from factory. Just speak with Tyagiji in the tel no provided. But,they won't oblidge small purchase, i think 12 packs will do. Export range pellets r worth shooting, so try that. I m also getting their pellets sitting at Itanagar at the help/advise of ifgians.
