A brief of my experience:

Had been contemplating on buying a TX 200 for quite sometime. Finally decided on taking the plunge. Decided to go with pyramydair. Tried buying the TX around 12th of April using my Visa card. Got a mailo from pyramydair stating that they do not accept Visa cards from outside of the USA. Created a paypal account. Got the limit increased by following their set procedure and finally ordered a TX200 MKIII in .177 and with the Walnut stock, a plano case and 2 piece Beeman mounts on the 14th of April. Got the AWB no. the next day from pyramydair. Kept tracking the package and finally saw that it had arrived in Delhi on the 19th of April. Got a call and a mail from Fedex asking for some documents:

Copy of invoice
Payment receipt
Technical info of the airgun ( Sent them a link from the AirArms and pyramydair websites )
Copy of my club membership card
Authorisation letter
Brief on why I needed the airgun
Supporting documents for duty exemption ( Huge thanks to FF for sending me the documents just when I needed them ).

Sent the above by email and faxed them the authorisation letter and the brief. The authorisation letter was misplaced and had to again scan one and send it to them. Received a mail on the 21st that the packages had been released. Got a call from Fedex that a customs duty of Rs 88/- had been levied and that the package was being sent by road. The packages finally arrived at my doorstep on 26/4/2011. Overall experience was pretty good. No hassles. The case and the mounts too arrived safely. Eager to shoot the TX as soon as I get a good scope for it..........pics asap.

Congrats Prabhat,

My experience with FedEx during the import of my crossman challanger from pyramydair was slightly different. The officials in mumbai needed a lot of documentation and required me to go personally and clear it.

Please do post the pics of your gun.

Regards,
Deepak

purchasing air gun from pyramidair

Post by kuwar » Thu Apr 28, 2011 1:24 pm

Dear friends,

I wish to purchase few air guns from praymidair. I am based in mumbai.
Does any one has any expirience in this respect. I'll be dealing with praymidair for the first time.
Kindly share ur expirience and suggestions. I am a life member of maharastra rifle assocition so customs will not be a big problem.

Regards,
Kuwar.

Congrats Prabhat.
You have made an excellent choice. I have one TX MK11. The trigger is superlight as compare to my HW. I had a real problem to get myself accustomed with this TX trigger. Trust me, you don't like to shoot with other gun after this.

Take an allen key and tweak the trigger such that it is not "superlight"
