Blank pistols

Blank pistols in India are sold at the price that's 4-5 times higher than they're available to buy online. Would rather have them imported.

They don't need a licence for sure.
They do need some sort of a permit though.

Blank Pistols may be "Toys" for some, but they do look "Real".
I have a friend who owns a school and was thinking of picking one up as a "starter gun" for his sports events. Dropped the idea when he came to know they were 40 K plus.

Bruni 92 is available online for 136 USD + 75 USD for shipment and insurance. Thats's still WAY cheaper than 40k plus.
And what kind of a permit are you talking about? Also, its just issued from Mumbai!? Thats strange. I don't think so, Prashant. Where did you get the info from?

Thats what my friend told me when he was thinking of picking up the blank.
A replica can probably be considered a toy.......... Not a Blank.
I suppose the permit is to prevent people from misusing them. e.g. one could rob someone with a blank. It actually looks and sounds real.

Yes, blanks do look real and sound like a real firearm. But the fact remains that they cause no harm, or couldn't be converted to shoot real bullets. Where permit is concerned, it still remains as a doubt to me. Need to clarify with the champs.

Hi,
Yes blank needs a permit or certificate that it is a blank fire and cannot be converted or fire real cartgs from it.
and it is issued by mumbai commisioners office. and it needs a passport and adresse should be from mumbai only &a photo to issue such permits.

Thanks, Sidhesh- appreciate it. So, do I need to have the permit/certificate with me before I import it, or after I get it in my hand. I am originally from Mumbai- and got Mumbai address on my passport.

Also, if the permit is issued from Mumbai Commissioner's office, and if the criteria is to have only the Mumbai address on the passport, then how do people own those blank firers in the other states of the country? The people who sell their stuff in "buy/sell" of this forum- are they all authorised resellers? How did they get the permit to sell their stuff?

I heard about someone having a store in Hyderabad who has a store and deals in blank toys...he'll get you the permit as well. Sitting in Hyderabad?

i dont know about other states but dealers haveing licence form XIII can sell blanks fires pistols/revolvers.
and the permit is issued when the blank is with you & not before.
and how will you import the blank ????

How would I import? By ordering online. I think there are many US based online stores that sell starter pistols- and they ship internationally. Is there any other way? I don't wanna buy it here because they sell it here for a price thats 5-6 timers higher than the online sellers.

I don't want to discourage you but blanks, at best, are just toys. From a confrontation point of view, I would not want to be caught with one in my hand while the opponent has the real thing, if you get my meaning. I suggest you go for an air/co2 pistol. That would be safer and fun too.

Meanwhile, dealers in India will do anything, short of gold plating the pistols to maximise their profits. Take an objective view on this before actually purchasing it.

I am planning to buy a blank just for the sake of some fun. I do have KJW M9 airsoft and a GSG 92 .177 cal co2 airgun that shoots metal BBs.

Also, I do not plan to buy it in India. The blanks that are sold here are not at all the quality ones. Please find the link below. The MCG stuff is damn cool.
