That's a good one. I will have to find out from one of my friends in the Forest Services.
Though some of them have previous hunting experience abroad . The person who has shot the maximum leopards in the state Mr Lakhpat Singh Rawat (more than 25) is a village school teacher who (I doubt) has ever been abroad. His rifle---a .315. Probably it has something to do with a person who has a good knowledge of the terrain and the animal to be hunted.

Drop one tresspasser at a time or five... how does it matter? Want suppressive fire use a shotgun at 80 yards or less.

Thanks for the compliment but I do see the picture beyond surplus rifles. And I guess because I don’t need to post pictures to satisfy my ego or to prove anything I would qualify for one.

I am sure no argument would be good enough for you but the gent is alive and well and FYI some senior members here are aware of whom I am talking about and BTW .22lr to air strikes are good for self defense too.

Self defense situation is not what you see in movies its variable you can’t put it in a bracket things get ugly and one doesn’t always have to be suppressive sometimes you have to aggressive and why not beyond 80 yards and I hope you know how effective a shotgun is beyond 50 yards I won’t called it a stopper exactly.

Relax guys. Let's not make things personal here.
Last December I drove to Gwalior.
You know the best area to see Rifles in India. It is here. Bhind , Morena, Chambal. All you see are Rifles. No guns, no handguns.
ONLY Rifles.
and it's been that way for as long as I can remember.
