Help needed in choosing airgun around 5k

Post by achintsetia » Thu Mar 24, 2011 4:23 pm

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, I want to purchase an air rifle, if possible, with peep sight in Delhi. I have talked to the IHP dealers, it seems that IHP .177 and .22 are out of stock. Mohan Bros., quoted a model, Hawk 350 (made in kolkata), for Rs. 5600. and some guy in Noida quoted sisco .22 gun for Rs. 3500.

My only priorities are precision and range up to 100 m. Please suggest me a good model with dealer as I am going to buy on 26th March (This Saturday) as earliest as possible.

Thanks in Advance
Achint

For the quoted budget....I will recommend an IHP Model 35 in .177 caliber.
No Indian airgun comes with a peep sight. The 35 ised to come with a peep sight ages ago....
Althoguh the pellet will reach 100m, it will drop around two feet from the point of aim and will barely have energy to cut thru a thin sheet of paper.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Dear fantumfan2003,

Actually, IHP 35 .177 is not available presently. How about other models like Tommy, Hawk 350, Sisco??

It shoots out to 100m ? Which model ? They are all .22 cal and not very precise.
IHP has the best barrels in .177 caliber. They are still made on Hammerli machines.
