nothing with this, few attachments, but customs charged duty...
Now no company can send loose scope to india, only they send mounted scope on gun...and its ban here..

First let me introduce myself. I am Manal Sabri, a consultant by profession, working with TCS and posted at Bhopal. I am somewhat new to this sports and looking forward to improvise.

Amit,

I can confirm that Pyramydair is not sending un-mounted scope.

Is there any latest ruling that disallow the import of scoped rifle in India ?

What should happen if customs confiscate a scoped rifle ? Will they levy duty or is there any alternate process to follow ?

Thanks for your time.

Regards

Manal.

Minal, at first, no company with send, so question does not arise, when it will get thru or not.

Amit,

I am looking for the ruling that prohibits the import of scoped rifle.

"DGFT Notification No. 12/2005 dated 04/07/2005" that allows the import of 0.177 air rifle says, absolutely nothing about the scope.

I have seen consignments coming with un-mounted scope and passing the customs easily then what is the issue with a mounted scope.

Regards

Manal.

Pyramydair will work as per US laws but nothing is there in Indian laws that prohibits scoped rifles.

Friends,
I have shipped an airgun to India, bangalore via usps. The tracking says, item has been cleared by DELHI FOREIGN POST OFFICE and sent to domestic location. Does it mean that, my nephew who I sent the gun still required to show his club membership details to clear his airgun?

You will be required to produce documents at FPO Bangalore. That is where clearance will happen.
