The chamber was horribly scored. Apparently that is how the new guns look! We had the chamber and the piston polished on a lathe - NOT mirror finish - you need the micro grooves for retaining the lubricant. Next I got myself an Jim Macari Apex Seal. The adapter was made locally. The spring was given a thorough cleaning. The OE Spring guide was totally LOOSE. hence had a new mild steel one fabricated. Wanted to use a top hat but I did not want to cut the spring - hence left that.

Hi kb100,
I was planning to give the same treatment to my M200 of AIMCO. Even after changing washer and spring to gsmith, the pellet blown out of M200 rebounds from quater inch thick plywood, even if it is shot form a distance of just 12 to 15 feets.
If I take it to lathe, what should I tell him to do with respect to polishing the chamber and piston...? please help me. I am also from Bangalore and where did you take your gun to...?

Regards,
Krishna.

I am Planning to buy an IHP M 35 .22 from aimco, shall i go ahead ?

i am really confused whether to buy from aimco or not becoz , in the previous posts it has been said like, there is rust inside the spring and chamber, is this applicable to all the new guns ?

please give me a suggestion where to buy ?

i am basically from chennai .

I have found no rust inside my ihp. Infact i was surprised when i opened. The cylinder, piston, guide, trigger block is phosphate coated for corrosion resistance.

No I bought in Bangalore. It doesnt matter where you are purchasing ultimately it depends on your luck. My gun shares few issues like loose pellet fitting in the muzzle end, slightly offset transfer port to the breech also minor 1~2 degree bend in the tube :deadhorse:
