lately my cousin imported via coureir route two anchutz practise and acompetion .177 for his doughter your parcel wil go fpo. you will be given adate ;just go and collect it there is no duty on.177bore and the pellets can import for sport. actually after the commen wealth games rules have been changed;now ther is no problem iin .177. goget it we have done it; only the parcel has to be opened in your ppresence. order your model and walk through the fpo.[foreign.post .office]we imported both anchutz.competion rifles costing more than 5000usd.directly from germany. there is no hassle. but let me remind all usa .does not ship scopes anymore to india. there maybe some otherway to do it. well that is all iknow.regarding .22 ask those people or .only import a barrel aftr sometime. so that you can change the barrel later on.butconfirm you questions before hand.earlier there used to be aduty of around30percent.

AFAIK even a pre owned rifle comes under import.. The most important thing is to have a rifle club membership registration card. If that is with you, you can get in easily. Check the calibre of the rifle . If its .177 you can but if its .22 i fear you cant get in with that. You can manage a receipt for your rifle thats not a big problem..

andy..
I didn't get what u mean..
what i understand, it's no re-import, I purchased online from pyramyd air, and then courier to me. It is as normal import, as anyother does it.

I think that andy is asking if this is your first time importing. If you have imported before as well, he wants to know the time period between your previous import and this one.

im thinking of importring a PCP
through airguns of arizona in .177-also i think they ship using UPS-is this risky considering that UPS has had a bad reputation in comparision to FEDEX the latter which gets all clearance done itself
