Hi Jitu,
I was wondering what happened to you, since I am aware to some extent, your job requirements, I was sure you would come on air some time or the other.
Keep up the spirit, the important thing is to get back to shooting, whatever be the reason for the gap.
Happy shooting

Olly, Wow !!! Too good, and surely hvj1 will guide you further on reducing the 8s. With the constellations I end up making, I think I shall have to drink an entire flask of hot tea with Dev every now and then ! Hey Dev - thy blessings please !!!

I had replied to you, but just as I had completed the reply, one of my cats tap danced on the keys of my laptop, thinking that the message was posted, I switched off. Nevertheless, what you plan to do, i.e. boxdrills, for each and every element you have mentioned is an excellent way to proceed. But you must be sicere with yourself, no correct tick marks if you have any doubts. The stricter you are on yourself the better the foundation you will lay for your future shooting. REMEMBER, even an OLYMPIC champion has to go through all the above mentioned steps (which you have mentioned).
Best Regards

Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
My Dear Friends,
A Doctor conducts various types of tests on a person to ascertain the reson for ill health, on receiving the results of the same, he can diagonise the causes and prescribe the appropriate medicine(s).
The same way, I ask you, to either give me the PERCENTAGE of either CALLING, FIG 8, or sight alignment. Without any feedback on the same, it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to figure (out and in some cases it becomes apparent to the shooter himself), where the problem lies. Only Jitu, has thus far given me feedback on his percentage.
So I will request all those who have asked me to READ your cards, to put up the percentages, otherwise kindly EXCUSE.
Best Regards

Hi Jonah
Was not aware that you are a shooter too. How long have you been shooting?

I take no responsibility for Olly's bad shooting But I did supply the tea leaf. Dear Airgun Novice you will do better by following Guruji's techniques. But I will always share a hop beverage with you anytime you swing by the capital.

Re: Tips on Pistol Shooting
Hello hvj1,
Nothing serious actually, But I have my aspirations Have been shooting for some years now but never competed. (ok just once at the state level last year where I made the mistake of switching to an unaccustomed and brand new Steyr Lp10) These days my average % is about 85 - 88 with the occational 92 - 94. I practice 3-4 times a week for about an hour by which time the sparrows on my rooftop begin to distract me...

The only reason I have not posted card shots or drill box readings is since our communication (ref: LED-RAD) in recent past, I have changed my stance and like I said earlier it's punaschcha Hari Aum. Now I am "learning" to shoot the AP with right arm in front of the body with head canted a bit to the right and both eyes open as against the earlier stance where it was in plane of my profile and straight out with neck wrung to the right. Back to SA - currently at 40%. So after reading through Jitu's experience wherein he was stuck at 60% for quite a while, I presumed it would be a matter of time before I cross back into 60% zone and then to the 80% zone for SA and then move on. Though the AP shooting is pretty much on the "cards" (couldn't resist the pun here ), I think it would be a while before I should be posting my cards. Please correct me if I am following a wrong approach. I am really grateful for your online pointers and time invested. I assure you I would do nothing to dissipate your efforts into the wind.
Regards
A
